I play music that is old and that is new. Some of it is digital while some is analog. It is from many different countries; sometimes it is loud and at other times it is quiet.

spodiodi: wikipedia says this about 25 or 6 to 4 : According to composer Robert Lamm, the song is about trying to write a song in the middle of the night. The song's title is the time at which the song is set: 25 or 26 minutes before 4 am.[18][19] Because of the unique phrasing of the song's title, "25 or 6 to 4" has been interpreted to mean everything from a quantity of illicit drugs to the name of a famous person in code.[20]

Mayuko and listenerds, I was wondering if you might help me identify an artist who has been played on Vertigo in the past. I've searched the archives to no avail. He's a Japanese guitarist. The tracks I remember were instrumental and lo-fi. He uses drum machines, which makes it sound a bit industrial, and the guitar is heavy and distorted. I want to say mid 80s, but I could be wrong. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Thanks!!!

Years ago I met this young Chilean guy who had hitch-hiked all the way up South America through the war zone of Central America. I let him stay at my house and he told me about all the crazy shit he had seen. One night we went to this club to see a friends band play. Also playing was this other another band that played tribal industrial percussion noise music. Run of the mill stuff for me, but he was totally freaked out! After seen brutality and mayhem up close, this bunch of Hollywood weirdos hitting amplified oil drums was to much for him. Sound can be destabilizing, that's why it is used as an instrument of torture. It is not a character flaw to dislike purposefully ugly sound. But hey, we're all intercepting on different wave lenghts,no?
