Hello. Odd, 91.1 FM won't work in mono but does in stereo.
  9:31pm

Well, it could also be a internet issue of two transmitters are behaving that way. Internet service has been consistently unreliable since mid March when everyone started working from home. ISPs are not really setup for continuous demands for bandwidth on consumer connections like this. So it’s all spotty.

... last time i looked for a car i wanted either a volvo 240 wagon, a subaru (older, reasonably-sized) forester, or a toyota pick-up.
only looking at sticks.
the pick-up was gonna be overpriced; the volvo hard to find (and now overpriced) but easily 70-80% of subarus listed either needed engine work or just had it done.
later someone told me it's just the deal. you get a subaru, expect to do the engine work, then you've got an excellent car!

Our house was on one of 4 lots that had been carved out of an orchard/nursery. Dude kept the business running on a flag lot behind us -- we had the road frontage, and he had driveway access between our house and one of our neighbors. One day a couple of the temporary workers at the nursery got in some kind of a argument that required a handgun to settle it. Killed the dude in the shared driveway.

I can confirm what cvh has been saying. When listening to WFMU via the mono stream, mic breaks are noticeably louder than the music and when Daisy came on it was slightly louder and then seemed muffled. Music cloud be heard but it was similar to what I personally experience if a speaker isn’t grounded corrected.

@coela: It keeps working! It just means I have to use foam blocks to car-top a canoe, which is less doable when it rains. And it is no good on dirt roads. Would really like to be able to go down more dirt roads. But now that our mechanic knows we are interested, he said he'd keep an eye out and also help us sell the 2003 Toyota when we are ready -- and get back the money we just put into those repairs.

Ugh, Phillippe, that must have been unpleasant in the extreme.

Both 91.1 and the stream have big phasing issues in mono.
Assuming this is playing on one of the DAW's, I'm wondering if the Mono button on the broadcast console has been accidentally engaged?

A couple months ago we bought our first "new" car in over 20 years, had mostly been driving beaters. I put "new" in quotes because they had to sell it as used because Hyundai had titled it as part of a small set of cars for the press to play with and take to pre-release car shows (it was a new model), and then they never used it. Only had 50 miles on it. Car is waaaay smarter than I'll ever be. This is our (ahem) last car we will ever buy.

A friend's mom in HS had a 68 Mustang with, I think, a 357 engine in it. We were able to drive it around quite a lot for a couple of years.Brakes started to go, and we'd have to stop a couple of hundred yards from the lights and stand on them to keep it from just moving ahead anyway!

Before that, though, once Atlanta got one of its super-rare ice storms, and we went out and used it to push other cars up hills the drivers didn't know how to negotiate.

This sounds super, Marty.

All I have to say about the quiet in Brooklyn is every one of my neighbors wonders if looting might occur at some point.

At some point the few stores still open might call it quits for now. I mean I have seen the one nice laundromat out of 8 or so that closed in my neighborhood close this week. Ditto with a few other restaurants that have heavy take out but it still doesn’t cover their expenses.

Anyway…

@HandyHaversack: No disrespect to Greenpoint, but some of the dumbest behavior I am seeing is in the typical gentrified neughborhoods.
