I opened this up at scott williams' stand-in show last night but I still find it surreal that they are starting the process soon of isolating the Uusimaa region (you know Helsinki and all that) from the rest of Finland. I don't live down there and therefore it does not affect me as directly as other people but let's say I don't know if I want to watch certain type of movies or read certain type of books right now.

has anyone here got the re-release of craig smith's (a.k.a. Satya Sai Maitreya Kali) apache/inca? the monkees reminded me of him (nesmith produced penny arkade, smith's band, before his life went weird and sad). The book about him is one of the weirdest and saddest rock biographies.

@2:22 C.S.: Craig Smith's apache/inca is recommended! A peculiar mix of field recordings, rather Buffalo Springfield-sounding tracks by Penny Arkade and disturbingly beautiful solo tracks. Mike Stax wrote the excellent book about him. Yes, a very odd and tragic story he had. Many articles about him, wikipedia, vice etc. Apache/Inca (well it is basically two separate albums, in the end they came out as a double) is probably on youtube. It is almost like a diary or autobiography in the form of a double album
