@Sheila: This could be something for you. Every year Ray Davies, one of the best songwriters in the world I know, is doing a songwriting course. For 16 students only. I did that course in 2001 and it has been one of the great experiences in my life. It's not necessary that you have been writing. I only had written one song before I went there. You have to write (and perform) 2 songs a day.
