I also like how the deadbeat Dad in Hausu is a composer just coming back from scoring a film in Italy.

I don't understand why you don't have a three hour long show all the time!

Another movie featuring a composer character is "The Changeling". George C. Scott is the composer who moves into a haunted house...

I liked Stoker. I think people underrated it because Park Chan Wook was working in English, but it was a really strong thriller.

Limey is Soderbergh, you might be thinking of Sexy Beast
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47pm
melinda:

@ultra-d I get those two confused. Both good but I don't remember much from The Limey, except when he throws someone off a balcony or something to that effect.
Avatar 8:49pm
khd:

i would put UTS at my number one, that movie totally caught me unawares and stayed with me for a long time after i watched it. probably because i couldn't stop listening to the soundtrack :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51pm
ultradamno:

They were about a year apart too. It's a great Stamp performance and Soderbergh pushing that montage style to the fringe.

I thought Dev was referring to an earlier film Glazer directed but may have meant one Martinez had scored (which The Limey is), so maybe my mistake.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm

I should watch The Limey again.

Frank Verplanck:

@khd, totally agree. The soundtrack was like another character in that film. After what, 4 or 5 years? I still think about it. Almost afraid to see it again, it made such an impression I don't want to disturb it's (uneasy) resting place in my mind!
Avatar 8:57pm

@frank yeah, i have it it on my hard drive so i can watch it whenever i want but i never really do. maybe once or twice. it's haunting. i listened to the soundtrack non-stop though...
