Martinibomb:

Are there other times people set off fireworks in the Netherlands? I have to suffer thru it twice a year tho I'd say New Years is less than the 4th of july
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, you're allowed to ignite them from 6 pm New yers eve till 2 am New Years Morning, but....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm
Jan Turkenburg:

There are other occasions, but New Year is the only time the public is allowed. Other fireworks are by professionals.

Martinibomb:

Professional I don't mind so much but boy do I get sick of them setting them off here for days before and after the 4th..

I thought it might be my little bluetooth speaker acting up, but it did jump for like second and go (&@*&@#*(&@ (volume-wise).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Hi PCT, yes I switched on the Eq of the player, but I think the previous setting with much higher volume kicked in and I switched it off.

Hi Jan. Archive listening, looks like that will be my pattern, to listen Sunday night NY time as I finish last chores of the day and have a beer before shower and off to sleep. Thank you for the program. Interesting and enjoyable. Hope you fit in the Lil Brother Montgomery into future show. That song is lovely and is early document of blues pattern repeated in later blues and rock songs. Regards.

Cours et rĂªve:

Another archive listener. Somewhat reminiscent of a Sunday night program no longer on air - was on a NY radio station; but this tops it, ty.
