She brought us a small jar of Marmite that we put in the pantry and promptly ignored it, subsequently pushing it further and further back until it was behind the cans of garbanzo beans (if you go grocery shopping and think "Hmm, I'd like to make hummus. Do we need a can of garbanzo beans?" the answer is always "no". There will always be multiple cans of garbanzo beans in the pantry). When we moved a few months ago and were emptying the pantry we discovered the Marmite and saw that it expired in 2002. Kept it anyway.

	11:44am coelacanth∅: i just built some shelves in the corner of the kitchen a month ago and soon realised they're display shelves, not storage shelves (or, as well as) and i didn't need more display shelves. i need more room for ugly things like my housemate's rice cooker and a coffee mill and a corn popper. i still don't know where to put these things, or what to put on the new shelves.
	11:47am Ike: Ike's Semi-Improvised "I Had Too Much Almond Flour and Wanted to Do Something with It" Almond Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies 2 cups oats, preferably lightly toasted 1 cup almond flour 1/2 cup coconut flakes (optional) 1/2 tsp sea salt 3/4 cup eggs and honey (in a random combination that I didn't write down but I think it was two medium eggs and about 3/8 cup honey, combo totaling about 3/4 cup) OR 3/4 cup maple syrup 1/4 cup coconut oil or butter (melted) 1 tsp vanilla extract 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips (preferably Ghirardelli) 3/4 cup pistachios and/or chopped walnuts (optional) Slap everything together and mix well. Heat at 350 F for about 15 minutes and don't burn it, you hippies.

I'll be able to make my own alteration -- my bride tried making some weird cookie bars that had an oat mixture topping that she did not add enough butter to, so when she cut the bars, the topping disintegrated. She brought us a small jar of Marmite that we put in the pantry and promptly ignored it, subsequently pushing it further and further back until it was behind the cans of garbanzo beans (if you go grocery shopping and think "Hmm, I'd like to make hummus. Do we need a can of garbanzo beans?" the answer is always "no". There will always be multiple cans of garbanzo beans in the pantry). When we moved a few months ago and were emptying the pantry we discovered the Marmite and saw that it expired in 2002. Kept it anyway.

	11:47am Ike: Ike's Semi-Improvised "I Had Too Much Almond Flour and Wanted to Do Something with It" Almond Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies 2 cups oats, preferably lightly toasted 1 cup almond flour 1/2 cup coconut flakes (optional) 1/2 tsp sea salt 3/4 cup eggs and honey (in a random combination that I didn't write down but I think it was two medium eggs and about 3/8 cup honey, combo totaling about 3/4 cup) OR 3/4 cup maple syrup 1/4 cup coconut oil or butter (melted) 1 tsp vanilla extract 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips (preferably Ghirardelli) 3/4 cup pistachios and/or chopped walnuts (optional) Slap everything together and mix well. Heat at 350 F for about 15 minutes and don't burn it, you hippies.
