	🥁 10:20am doctorjazz: Jazz Standard. I've heard Petra Haden on record quite a bit, love the stuff she does, but I think in all the interesting shticks she does, the sheer beauty of her voice gets lost. Much of the set (with 3 part harmony) brought tears to the eye.

I once saw Ronald Shannon Jackson playwith a group at the Westfield Jazz Festival (a summer 2 hour street gig, at which I almost never see anyone well known, and generally only find occasional groups I'd pay to see). I recognized him and spoke to him a bit; he was also surprised I knew who he was.

Need to do a little maintenance but need the ground to dry out first. That concludes the chicken report. It is a quite wonderful clear, sunny day today though.

I once saw Ronald Shannon Jackson playwith a group at the Westfield Jazz Festival (a summer 2 hour street gig, at which I almost never see anyone well known, and generally only find occasional groups I'd pay to see). I recognized him and spoke to him a bit; he was also surprised I knew who he was.
