You should definitely try it. This weekend we have pasar malam in my town, an Indonesian market, which means a lot of food, made in the traditional Indonesian way. Just finished my nasi rames.

The college I went to had a sister school in Indonesia so there was an Indonesian restaurant in that town. They only served single dishes though. My favorite was gado gado.

You should definitely try it. This weekend we have pasar malam in my town, an Indonesian market, which means a lot of food, made in the traditional Indonesian way. Just finished my nasi rames.

The college I went to had a sister school in Indonesia so there was an Indonesian restaurant in that town. They only served single dishes though. My favorite was gado gado.

Because, like you said, their governments =/= their people, but by that metric I couldn't imagine why any artist outside of the USA would want to come here and tour in the heart of the empire.
