Hi Julie. Just as I first heard Daniel Johnston's music on WFMU, now I'm first hearing about his death on WFMU. Such a loss. May his memory be a blessing always.

Was just announced yesterday. Definitely a deeply felt loss for the station and all long term listeners.

This is a good set to listen to while I edit crappy descriptions of crappy cozy mysteries, crappy supernatural detective books, crappy cozy supernatural mysteries, crappy teen romance books, crappy supernatural teen cozy mysteries, boring business books, and... lesbian erotica (with a description far too vague to ascertain whether or not it is crappy, but it sure doesn't look that interesting).

Do you ever listen to DKFM, a shoegaze streaming station? Its station IDs are irritating, but they play tons of stuff I've never heard of. And weirdly, a *troll* commenter turned me on to them! We have the best trolls! (Well, that guy, and Bryce's "marbles in a blender" guy. Not that other one.)
Avatar 🦇 2:31pm

I am somewhat familiar with DKFM, yes. Enjoy but can be too much of a good thing.

Looks like a great playlist Julie! I had to do something with the audio off, but I will catch the whole show on the archives. And I'm glad you have stayed on the calendar!

Thanks Phillippe! And thanks everyone for listening, see ya next week.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 2:52pm
Phillippe Bastille:

@ ɛɨk: I love DKFM! I don't listen like I used to since I'm kind of all-in on FMU. I agree the station IDs are obnoxious after the first hundred times
Avatar 2:54pm

@PB, I switch around a lot sometimes. Agreed with Julie that it can be too much of a good thing. Good choice at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays, though.
