One night in in the early 60s in a coffeehouse on Bleeker Street, Bob Dylan sat down with Cecil Taylor to play the old folk song, The Water Is Wide. I don't know if the music was any good, but wouldn't you want to go in a time machine and say you were there?

at the time Time Between was recorded, michael clark was going through a very rough period of lack of confidence about his drumming. some of the outtakes of the other Byrds trying to convince micheal he was good enough exist. so, perhaps the shaker was to cover him, a bit??
