One of my friends that moved from Canada to Michigan (like me) has become a big Bob Seger fan and she wanted to see his farewell tour this summer so I joined the fan club and managed to snag two tickets - he sold out 5-10 shows at Pine Knob Music Theater. I think he's trying to beat Kid Rock's record cuz Kid Rock beat Bob Seger's record for sold out shows at Pine Knob, right next to where I live in Clarkston Michigan.

@steveo, I thought the great surface noise could get me through it, but about 70% of the way through I started to get REALLY sleazed out. What a grodey song! But the sleaze really sneaks up on you. It started out sounding a lot less offensive and slimy and then suddenly at the end it snowballs! UGH! I need a shower! You people who think his earlier work is better are all nuts! His early stuff blows goats too! UGH. [shudders]

@tim I'm a medium fan of Seger, my wife lived in Detroit in the '70's and saw him in his prime ... she dragged me to see him about 10 years ago ... I enjoyed his concert more than I thought I would ... since it's his final tour I thought it would be worth going.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:16am

@steveo, one time I was more specific about something that blew goats. Maybe it was Don Felder's Tuesday Morning Atrocity. I think I said, "He not only blows goats, he's also terrible at it! The goats don't even enjoy it!" That didn't seem to get any traction in the comments though. Or maybe it was just too gross. So I went back to just plain straight-up accusations of goat-blowing.
