Searched thus album on Discogs....1974, vinyl, 2 copies for sale starting at $932 (must be a reissue out somewhere...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46pm
KimSorise:

Hello Chresti, TDK60, most dearest Major Doug! Glad to share some joy.
@docJazz - OG on this came out in ‘74. This is a reissue on Universal Sound - came out 2013/14... I think
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47pm
doctorjazz:

Yup, there is a reissue, $50-60 on Discogs...echo buys $1000 albums?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47pm
doctorjazz:

(Who buys...that was supposed to read)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm

Doug Schulkind:

I have that Maulawi LP and I’m pretty sure I’ve never played this track on the air. What have I been thinking?! This shall change.

Doug,I thought you went all digital.

Roy Brooks, great son of Detroit.

finally submitted my swag selections to Joe today. tough choices to make, as usual. (easier than last year though)
-looking forward to this year's installment of revolution music à la Kim.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm
KimSorise:

Oh yes, he was. I helped engineer an interview with him in Detroit in about 94... he was really out there. Gave an incredibly dissonant and somewhat off putting performance - that looking back on... wow! It was so very strange - it was like a love scene with a prepared piano
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:15pm
KimSorise:

It really wasn’t much of an interview - Mr. Brooks as pretty unintelligible on mic.
Avatar 8:20pm
northguineahills:

Like everything Sun Ra, it's really before it's time (1960???!!!)
Avatar 8:23pm

Derby, UK? (oh, wait, that's pronounced "darby")
Avatar 8:25pm
northguineahills:

Bevin is a cunt....(that is all....)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm
KimSorise:

He really is... further down south & east in the state it’s Darby... despite being here for 19 years, I cannot support such pronunciation. Derby Deeds Done Dirt Cheap as the say around these parts... when you can play the rousing party game: redneck, hipster, or tourist?
Avatar 8:31pm

@Kim: Depending on the setting, I'm all three....

Thank you all!
@Doug - yes he was. It was challenging in a way that I struggle to speak about because I had never seen anyone at that time and honestly maybe never again that was that disconnected from reality, but still creating beauty and anger in such startling forms.
Anyway - Enjoy your week! Stay Tuned for Sam.
