Intrinsically curated, the music on this program—exclusively vinyl played on Technic 1200 M3D turntables—presents an illuminating collection of other-worldly grooves, beats, and sounds. Host Kim Sorise honors the jazz innovators, beat conductors, soul senders, and mind benders that traverse our musical and auditory landscapes. Grease for all. In music we trust.

Welcome one and all! Tonight’s show is dedicated to the music of Gil Scott-Heron who, today, would have been 70 years old, and to Marvin Gaye who would have celebrated his 80th Birthday tomorrow. Enjoy.

Gil’s life-imitating-art demise makes me almost physically ill. He became the subject of one his own songs. So awful. What a towering artist.

Yvang, thanks so very much.

How’s the two-pooch scene been treating you, Kim?

KimSorise:

Hey there Coelacantho & Alice! Glad you’re diggin the show.

THe dual pooch situation has been awesome! Truly - today we did a vet visit and a bath; but it’s honestly been pretty chill over all. We did have 2 very minor scuffles, but both retired to their respective corners without issue

Thanks, Kim!

I think I've only listened to a handful of albums 5 times in the 20 years (I have to cycle through them all).
