Avatar 1:05pm Juke Joint Jonny:

*burp.* Hey, Fools! Who ate too much this week?
  1:16pm Jim B:

Brock is a dead ringer for Ed Asner.
Avatar 1:18pm Juke Joint Jonny:

Whoa! What was going on with that false ending on Knocking On Your Door? Purty nice number all round.
Avatar 🌮 1:27pm Mailman Tom:

Stanley Brock was in one of my favorite movies, All the Marbles, which starred Peter Falk.
  1:27pm middlebun:

Nothing better than a standard 45rpm record.
  1:33pm ironweed:

Leesburg Florida checking in!!
Avatar 1:39pm Juke Joint Jonny:

Little known?? I watched Richie Brockelman every week! For the three weeks it was on.
  1:39pm Tom in St. Paul:

Salvage 1 – I remember that! Kinda funny, mostly stupid.
  1:42pm Listener Robert:

The TV series was pretty stupid, but the 2-hour pilot, titled simply "Salvage", was not bad.

Was the Palladium a holdover from those days of E. 14th St.? I went there & tried the foam dancing in the basement, looking to sell them my bubble mixture to use in it.
  1:44pm Juan Rapido:

Not to be confused with British philanthropist and adventurer Stan Brock, also star of the movie Gaylon: https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0317543/
Avatar 1:46pm Juke Joint Jonny:

Maybe they should have moved the piano out of the garage for this one? Romp and Stomp!
Avatar 🌮 2:00pm Mailman Tom:

Are these the same people who recorded Teen-Age Machine Age?
Avatar 2:13pm david_:

We need to move to an economy that recognizes the role of the Twist Creators
Avatar 2:13pm Melissa Jean:

I knew you would never knock DiNic's

Lust loving Tramp? Where do I sign up?
  2:18pm Papito:

I am 99 percent sure that Chubby Checker had a 5 minute show on tv teaching the twist . This was every day and he showed every new move .
  2:24pm RevPhil:

Papito I remember those Chubby Checker Twist Lessons that aired every hour and every day on WWOR-TV channel 9 in New York back in December 1961
Avatar 🌮 2:25pm Mailman Tom:

Papito, you are correct. Chubby Checker did have a 5 minute TV show showing the proper way to dance the Twist!
  2:27pm Papito:

Thank you for the feedback folks!

RIP Dave "A Career In Broadcasting" Loevner

Arthur Bryant's yes! And the burnt ends are amazing

I always thought is was Lubner.

I thought you were Dave
  2:34pm flashbazbo:

For years
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm Senor Headache:

That's so weird, after hearing that Wolfman Jack spot again this morning I wondered what ever happened to that Loevner guy. And now I know.
Avatar 🌮 2:36pm Mailman Tom:

Maybe the best thing the Groovies recorded!
  2:45pm FACT CHECK:

I just got off the phone with Karen (sister) of the above "David Mirek Loevner" . Her brother was a junior t-ball game dj and loved second level classical music. Why would he call the wolf ???
  2:47pm davefromtoronto:

wow - maybe next we solve the mystery of "Sweet Peaches"
  2:50pm Listener Robert:

Huh. I was guessing this "Fisterris" was a Phil Proctor.
Avatar 🌮 2:53pm Hackensack Slim:

It was recently disclosed that the Flamin' Groovies will be touring next year with the great Roy Loney. Can't wait for those shows.
Avatar 🌮 2:53pm Mailman Tom:

I have that Norton 45!

Avatar 2:56pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Groovies !
  2:57pm ?:

FACT CHECK OF "FACT CHECK": I see a leg-pulling here, as we can dismiss these claims out of hand, as David Mirek Loevner has no sister named Karen listed in his obit. Funny stuff, nonetheless.
Avatar 2:58pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Gawd's Jukebox I says.
