Hello, Pseusie

Mike Sin:

Gotta jump in and recommend the Hollies' "Evolution" LP from which this track is pulled. Recorded at EMI/Abbey Road at the same time "Sgt. Pepper" was going down. Some goofy moments, but some very stellar moments harmony and arrangement-wise.

Another lovely day in Hookville. Please pledge generously.

@Mike Sin agreed on EVOLUTION, but ever since a friend put me onto the ridiculously large but amazing THE CLARKE, HICKS & NASH YEARS: THE COMPLETE HOLLIES (April 1963 - October 1968), I've been buried in the damn thing, but it's like $28 for 6 discs, if you're still into the physical media thing and why not? Anywhere it's huge but really cost-effective and stuff.
Avatar 12:46pm
Carmichael:

I have this same Hallelujah song, but it's not credited to Capaldi. Looking it up ...
Avatar 12:47pm

@Fashion Tshijian: Then why 'noradzevut’yun'

I may be an American of Scottish-English stock, but it's just biographical trivia to me....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm
Hughie Considine:

Aw, man, this Three O'Clock song by Scott Miller of Game Theory/Loud Family. Surprised we don't hear more of Scott's genius on the Hook Program...
Avatar Pseu's Thing with A Hook Hellraiser 2024 Swag For Life Member 12:48pm
Barkevious Shabazz:

Game Theory Amelia pitch-off.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm
Krys O.:

Mike Sin is absolutely correct! Evolution is wonderful. I love the goofy bits like Water on the Brain, etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm
Mike Sin:

@Bill in W.O. -- in complete agreement on that box set. What package! (<-- uh oh!). Chronologically arranged with lavish notes. I actually scored my set for under $25... the steal of the year there.

(the only Armenian I know is from sergie parajanov, although most of his dialog was in Georgian, Russian (Ukranian?), but there is Armenian (he was also ethnically armenian, a fave director of mine).

There's lots worse things can happen than being born in America. All things considered we still got it pretty good here. Fingers crossed.

no question, I love my country we're just having a really REALLY bad spat right now. Someone needs some serious counseling.

Jim H: Remember ambiguity. The Great Lake Swimmers could be just so-so swimmers who happen to swim in the Great Lakes. Just sayin'... :)
  2:08pm

or they might not be swimmers at all - but they are certainly GREAT
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm

I hope they aren't swimming now. That water has to be getting cold...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm

i had four cats once. they will watch you sleep. they will sleep on you
Avatar 2:43pm
crateslinger:

I have two cats. They are watching me sleep in case I die so they can eat my eyelids first, then my lips, then my nose. Then the smell will alert the neighbors. My wife is a paramedic. That's how it goes. That's what your cat wants.
Avatar 2:45pm

I have two cats. They are cute and furry.
