@Ori: I once had a pretentious dj name "l" (vertical line), and got sick of it, so I was brain storming, and being from the South (US), i wanted nothing to do w/ it, so north popped in. Being a geographer, I was always fascinated w/ all of the locations named Guineas (as a touch of the exotic) around the world, and then there is the guinea pig and the old British currency, the guinea. Then I wanted it to sound pastoral, so, I added "hills". A very cromulent way to come up w/ a nom de musique. Now, years later, I use it for all of my aliases. Collinas de Guinea de Norte!

Platenclub Utrecht (my record club of 7 collectors) is making a monthly top 10. Last Monday on no 1: the Eurovision entry by Moldavia (not my choice). Our so called misunderstood groove (the record with the lowest points) was the winner from Israel. And I agree about Waylon.

A few months before I was going to that songwriting course in 2001, they announced a Ray Davies gig in The Netherlands in the week before that course. And then a gig in the week after. And then IN that week. I feared the course would be cancelled because of that Dutch tour, but instead the tour was cancelled. Reason: Ray was too busy with a CD. I knew better. Instead of performing for 16000 fans he preferred to teach 16 students.
