an early good evening to you, doug, and to all premature auditors...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17am Doug Schulkind:

Welcome aboard, ausmanx!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:21am Brian in UK:

Hey Doug 'n ausmanx

ausmanx, lets talk about anything but cricket. How long is a piece of string, how high the moon, why is there air. There is a limit.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:22am Brian in UK:

How about the current world shortage of skyhooks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32am Doug Schulkind:

@Brian in UK
Are you saying I shouldn't play selected tracks from this: www.discogs.com... ??
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:37am Brian in UK:

Given the "instruments" used it might prove demanding. Butchers knife!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:39am Brian in UK:

The title of track 9 is particularly appealing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:47am Doug Schulkind:

Oh you'll know. For sure.

duke, be quiet and read your book in the back. I don't care if it makes you sick driving and reading.
Oh dear, here's a tissue. What have you been eating.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 8:50am Brian in UK:

Doug, the track playing on the Stream was my intro to Salsa. Celia.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06am Sem:

@Listener Gregory: my Newfoundland grandparents would have scoffed at such mild-mannered tea. They were proponents of never taking the Pyrex teapot off the heat, adding bags and water in good measure, hour after hour. Hence: Newfie methamphetamine.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06am listener Rey:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:18am Sem:

Doug, for sure. There are so many unexpected modalities in that music, you can;' tell the tune from the de-tune without, what, a score card?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:19am Brian in UK:

Do you get many Indonesian restaurants in the US. I have only seen them in Holland. dutchtheo will know more than me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20am Doug Schulkind:

Unexpected Modalities will be the name of my next radio show.
Avatar 10:20am annie:

My grandfather was a sailor to Indonesia 100 years ago. Amiek Dasuki is a blend of a Dutch first name with a Japanese last name, you know they made some trouble over there, I don't know about indonesian food in the US, i haven't seen them last year but in Holland obviously you have them in almost every town often combined with chinese food. the famous Chin. Ind. Rest. In The Hague you have a lot good ones.

Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:38am dutchtheo:

yes it is a big blend and cross over between all the cultures; chinese portuguese, dutch, thai, indian, malay, Doug i haven't heard of ketjap on fries but fries with peanut-sateh- sauce and mayonaise and onions is common, fries "war" they call it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39am Doug Schulkind:

Bloody hell did I just get famished. Thanks, dutchtheo. Thanks a lot.
  10:39am Listener Gregory:

I've been going through all my Eric Dolphy LPs and got to hear the very young Woody Shaw on a few cuts. Had Dolphy lived, they were going to tour Europe. It's sad that that never happened.

Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:30am Brian in UK:

Doug, mine cut out about ten minutes ago but I think it was my computer.
  11:31am Bill Mac:

Mmmmm, foot pie....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:31am Doug Schulkind:

Have some head cheese with that foot pie, Bill Mac?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:32am Uncle Michael:

Today, a tribute to Gregory N. Chance!

Miserere nobis, Doug.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:32am Brian in UK:

No big fan of burgers but I like a Bill Mac.
  11:33am Bill Mac:

As a kid I was always fascinated with head cheese and its pickled little brother souse
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33am Parq:

How bad was Wednesday for you, Doug? It snowed all day in NYC, but the ground was already so warm that it was all gone by lunchtime yesterday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33am Doug Schulkind:

Well well well, it's thedunkel!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am Funky16Corners:

We got nailed in Central NJ, like a foot of heavy, wet snow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:34am Sem:

Hiya, Bill. Moving thing you did Sunday night, man.
Avatar 🥁 11:35am βrian:

Still cold blue skies over the isthmus, but we may get some snow tonight.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:35am Funky16Corners:

Odell!
  11:36am Bill Mac:

Heyo all... thanks Sem, wasn't just me, everything worked. Kudos to UM for picking up the chorus.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am Ike:

Amazing set! Also, ROTFL @ "rudy-poots". I understand that reference.
  11:38am Bill Mac:

@BiUK Don't they call it a Royale with cheese over there?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40am Doug Schulkind:

It snowed all day here on Wednesday. My daughter's school was cancelled and so was my evening class. I still had to go to my internship, though.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:41am Brian in UK:

Bill, showing ignorance, no idea mate.
I second what Sem wrote too.
Avatar 🥁 11:41am βrian:

It's "rooty-poot," no? I figured it had to do with prairie turnips.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41am Parq:

F16C, I heard that. They apparently got blasted on Long Island too. I have a sister in the Pomton Lakes area; I need to call and check on her.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42am Funky16Corners:

I suspect it'll be gone by Sunday, but it was a pain digging out. Thankfully my 14 year old son has reliable knees and back, which I do not. He was rewarded handsomely for his labor.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:44am Parq:

I don't think the BP ever established a spelling for it. Since he was God (at least to hear him tell it), I imagine it was intended to transcend such earthly concerns as spelling.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:44am Funky16Corners:

Well, shit...I have the 45 and have only ever played the other side. D'oh...
Avatar 🥁 11:44am βrian:

This is a nod to Ike, I assume.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am Doug Schulkind:

Urban Dictionary:

"Rooty Poot"

A person (usually male) who lacks ability, confidence and/or courage.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:46am Artie:

Well hey, I'm thankful too, ya know. Got a good stream going on here. Plenty to go around. No pushing, no shoving.

Don't classify me with those rooty poots.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:47am Doug Schulkind:

Artie's at the party!
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 11:47am Artie:

Doubly thankful, apparently. Huh, huh, hooray!

Thank you for correcting my spelling. Also... prairie turnips?!?!? Hmm...they sound interesting! Supposedly they are "award-winning tubers"! Never had 'em!

Ok, today should be last frost morning and I can finally plant my seedlings (It's getting time consuming taking my plants indoors and out every few nights/mornings.). It was 34F/2C this morning.
