Open Kimono live on WFMU 2018-01-16

Live Performance and chat with Open Kimono (Daria Grace: bass, vocals /Jeff Schaeffer: drums /Daniel Murphy: guitar, keyboards /Pierre De Gaillande: vocals, guitar)

On his last musical project, "Bad Reputation," Pierre de Gaillande focused on presenting the gorgeously subversive music of French anarchist poet Georges Brassens to a broader audience. Now, de Gaillande has been focusing more on his own catchy chamber-art-pop music with former bandmates from Melomane and The Snow, dubbing the new ensemble Open Kimono. Pierre has also been keeping busy composing music for film, TV and dance. Open Kimono has a new album available on Bandcamp, and plays live on WFMU.

Beacon has some interesting things, like Pandorica, the Dr. Who themed restaurant. We go there once in a while. The Strawberry fest is nice, and the spirit of Pete Seeger, who was kind of unavoidable while he was still alive, it there.

And if you are a fan of PEOPLE OF EARTH, it's set in Beacon, although apparently filmed in Georgia.
