If I was going to speculate wildly, then I'd say Carla Morrison is from the State of Hidalgo, as Morrison is mostly, outside of London (and other places due to migration), is mostly found in SW England, including Cornwall. At the turn of the 20th c., there was a mass immigration of Cornish miners to Hidalgo to operate the tin mines there. /wild speculation off //mi amo Pachuca

Lyle:

Eugeniusz Rudnik. Ruddy, we called him. He was a piece of work. I met him when I was with Hurricane Smith's band, and believe me, this was way after "Oh Babe What Would You Say," so Hurricane wasn't exacty riding high. We were in Pembina, ND, as I recall. Ruddy was with The New Vaudeville Band and they were milking the last bit of glory out of "Winchester Cathedral" at that time. As I recall, the gig was a benefit for a church in Minot that was trying to get outfitted with new pews. We were playing outside in November on the back of a flatbed truck. As you might imagine, it was colder than cold. This was in the days before plastic mouthpieces. I recall that Ruddy liked his Tuborg Gold, and he must have had seven or eight cans of it when he decided to bum rush the stage during our encore. This did not sit well with the local Monsignor who actually body tackled Ruddy and took him to the ground in front of the crowd, who then erupted in pleased applause! Looking back, it was the perfect show-stopper and ending. I never saw Ruddy after that. He did his thing evidently, and I soon left Hurricane Smith and hooked up with John Gary, who was squeezing the last ounce of life out of his "Yellow Bird" single. Ah, the life of a musician on the road. I enjoy your program, Mr. Williams. Keep up the fine work.

,,,,I am now appreciating all DJs Who have demonstrated to Myself that their was a life of beautiful music after I lost the initiative that started in 1985 concluded in 1992 to keep traveling to Kansas City, MO. and other locals when the opportunity arose (vacations) on a monthly basis and set up long play rec. recording equipment in the cheapest motels just to hear the hopeful sounds of volunteer community radio. The first computer I purchased in 2004 was a long distance radio with clear sound period. My best friend had given me a small CD soundbite sample of WFMU from his nephew`s machine after a string of my requests and I knew the station that was to fill that void. Thanks so much DJ S.W. (Long time Playing D.J.) for Your help and donated time for the greater good and to WFMU for one of the last "free spaces via the comment board available to anyone.,,Much Respect and Thanks for the music broadcast from the vessel that is the "Centre of Cultural Music Most High". d.n.a.
