To me - this is the most Summery album.

@RevRab: a Jimi track with "burning" in the title looks like a personalized "good morning" from Nate to you
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33am
ultradamno:

There's probably a way to work 'burning sensation' into this...

Just came across the flier protesting Unnatural Axe online calling them violent, anti-social, fascist-themed, and pro-euthanasia themed "music"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:45am
Nate K.:

I'd love to see that flier!

"The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down"...I saw that movie!

Ah, yes, yes, I've seen that one. Thanks.

I love VU covers and this a cool one

Day Lou died - I was working a thrift store & an acoustic came in. So I crooned this to no one & the Universe.
Avatar 7:02am
KP:

That's a hidden track via what format?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:05am
Nate K.:

Hey KP, it's the last song on side 2 of the vinyl but it's not listed among the album tracks. So I guess it's sort of "hidden." And, yes, VU covers are great, indeed.

Has anyone here looked at that 17776 thing? It's supposed to be about football, but it's really weird

I haven't but may start on it now.

Well, I rarely miss Morricone Island, but I'll definitely make a point to hear that one. Know Where To Run kind of got played into the ground in this house last year.

Nate K.:

@ultra, such a great show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47am
fred:

Sadly, that show isn't within my listening hours. Archives, I know, but I already have a hard time keeping up with my favorite shows these days. No thanks to a hostile workplace that no longer lets me listen at work

Spiritual solidarity, fred.

I work at the RI state prison. First they didn't allow internet anything, then when I convinced them I needed it to do my job (education) they opened it up completely -- my fingers are crossed that I continue to get away with it -- and so FMU is on there all day. I am a lucky man.

Just tuned into Spectre Folk on the thruway, on my way up to the Catskills. Sounds great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06am
fred:

@Will: in my case it's not my employer's policy. The top dog in my office demands total silence: no talking allowed while he's there. I've been told to humor him because he can get physically violent when things don't go his way
  8:11am
Will:

@Fred. How about earbuds?

@Will: the office lord doesn't like them, it sends the message I'm not ready to answer his every call, like rushing to plug back in his mouse when he tore it off in anger

Puke Spit and Guts AND Steal Shit Do Drugs in one morning? What other station in the country can claim that?

Looks like a great show today. Going to have to go back and listen on the archive.

I worked in an office that had a no headphones policy. After playing some difficult music, I taught the older members of the office how to use the built-in MS IM if they ever needed to communicate w/ me, and suddenly, headphones were allowed.

Thanks, Nate, been listening from the kitchen all morning, great stuff. See you and the Burners next time.
Avatar 8:49am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Never had a moble to stream away from home - but actually feel time away from FMU is healthy @ a certain point...So podcasts everywhere else, & often allowed headphones @ werk - which is a major + in my book...if not everything about werk is. Have had a job of 10 years where changing music policy majorly blew up for me. It was retail, & the customers thot it was B.S. too - butcha get the one who complains &... Frankly fred, sounds like you've got a ticking timebomb there. But I can't tell you anything you don't know better...
Avatar 8:53am

The grocery store I work at plays Muzak that actually isn't half bad if tuned to the right station. Sometimes we listen to dreadful current pop music. I pretty much tune it out in my head.

You got it, Fred. I'm having a Lynch thing, what with the new Twin Peaks and all.
Avatar 8:55am

I can't focus w/o music. The natural ambiance of any setting constantly distracts me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56am

AXS has been showing that Music of David Lynch concert periodically. A lot of it sucks but seeing Baladamenti perform stuff from Twin Peaks and stuff and Rebekah Del Rio do Llorando live is worth it.

Thanks Nate
