Hi, Jackwen. Hey, BB, does everyone at work love your choice of stations?
Avatar 3:08pm
Bronwyn Bishop:

i always listen to my earbuds at work. but we're moving into an open plan office and people suggested maybe having music playing and each person gets to pick the music for the day. i was all for it and was hoping my day would be thursdays so everyone would experience diane kamikaze and fabio while trying to do spreadsheets. but sadly i don't think its happening.

my boyfriend and i have developed a game when we go to record stores. we have noticed that seemingly every $1 record bin has at least one copy of "twin sons of different mothers" by dan fogelberg and that other guy. last time we went record shopping we came up with the challenge that whoever finds a copy of that record in a $1 bin first wins. loser has to buy the record.

i know thats apropos of nothing but i felt like sharing our ingenious and minimally expensive pastime
  3:24pm
Dean:

I'm always tempted to ask record store clerks in places with used and $1 bins if they have any, e.g., Dan Fogelberg (or Carole King or Boston, etc.) records. Just to be juvenile.

hmmmm. how many copies of that album do you now own?

Mention of Fogelberg brings back memories. For instance, I remember a guy in junior high and high school avidly recommending Mahavishnu Orchestra's "Birds of Fire" and various King Crimson records. We're talking 1973, '74, or so. Accordingly, I listened to his suggestions and learned that much more about then new music. But he also sang praises of Fogelberg ... or was it Tim Weisberg? Or both, as in "Twin Sons..."? Anyway, kinda puzzling that lapse in taste.
