	4:01am Billy Jam: NOTE that I am one of numerous applicants for the new weekday morning radio slot opening here at WFMU which came about after the long running Jewish music and cultural program "JM in the A.M." - hosted by Nachum Segal - ended its 33 1/2 year run on WFMU's FM signal in December. For the past few years, in addition to broadcasting on the FM dial of this station, Nachum's widely popular show had begun broadcasting also online via the website NSN (Nachum Segal Network = www.nachumsegal.com) which was part of the reason why he decided to leave WFMU after so many years. Today I will catch up with Nachum to ask him about his network and new broadcast studios, his international social work, and what he misses about WFMU. That's all coming up over the next three hours here on "Wake And Bake" - {Note that tomorrow and Friday the DJ in this slot, also trying out for this new opening, will be Jim the Poet who u know from "Sportsy Talk" on WFMU with Bronwyn C (not to be confused with WFMU's Bronwyn B).

	4:36am Billy Jam: HHN (Hannah Headline News) #NotFake- ℅ Hannah, Emily, and Ken: here's today's top stories - all from a local NJ perspective = The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for much of the Northeastern United States, with parts of New Jersey expected to receive as much as a foot of snow. Projections show Jersey City and the surrounding area are likely to get 6 to 8 inches. www.nj.com... New Jersey governor Chris Christie signed a bill into law this week that will enable lottery tickets to be delivered directly to ticket buyers in their homes. According to the new legislation, New Jersey residents will now be able to pay private couriers to deliver their lottery tickets, a service one general assembly member believes is important since many other goods such as food, water, and clothing can be delivered in order to "make peoples' lives easier." (Please note the irony here. Lottery tickets are being compared in level of necessity to food, water, and clothing.) www.nj.com... A new bill facing the state senate could make New Jersey the first state to outlaw child brides. The bill, which passed a Senate sub-committee this week 10-to-1, with Senator Michael Doherty of Warren casting the lone dissenting vote, would make it illegal for children under the age of 18 to marry, even with parental consent. The current New Jersey law states that children ages 16 and 17 may marry with parental consent, and children under 16 may marry with the approval of parents and a state judge. www.nj.com...

	6:56am Marcel M: Brooklyn Bicycle Weather/Traffic Report with Marcel M Looks like the rain should hold out today although the roads will still be wet for a bit. You may want to pack a light rain coat just in case.. The temperature in Northern Brooklyn right now is 42 and will climb up to 45 by 8am and then up to 58 by 2pm dropping down to 49 around 6. Gear wise today looks like you'll need a light jacket or sweatshirt if even! Its mad warm! Bike traffic will be up a bit from yesterday but shouldn't be too crazy because of the overcast weather. Look out for doors and look out for the cops.

	7:10am annie: sammus, it was much more hometown than it is now with all baseball and tourists. the reants were cheap, and the food was good. lots of diners and authentic pub food. tons of bars and lazy-summer main-streets. tyhe colleges boosted the population, then they left in may. it was OUR city; you could walk down the street and know all the shop owners. ..now it's just a city trying to find a hook and something to explot.

Completely crazy sounds from the SID chip on that machine, essential for the chiptune scene. On the other end of the spectrum, the soundtrack for GTA San Andreas is pretty much watertight.

Some delays on R, N, and W because of "an earlier incident" at Lex/59th. How come we don't hear about the incidents until they are over?

	4:01am Billy Jam: NOTE that I am one of numerous applicants for the new weekday morning radio slot opening here at WFMU which came about after the long running Jewish music and cultural program "JM in the A.M." - hosted by Nachum Segal - ended its 33 1/2 year run on WFMU's FM signal in December. For the past few years, in addition to broadcasting on the FM dial of this station, Nachum's widely popular show had begun broadcasting also online via the website NSN (Nachum Segal Network = www.nachumsegal.com) which was part of the reason why he decided to leave WFMU after so many years. Today I will catch up with Nachum to ask him about his network and new broadcast studios, his international social work, and what he misses about WFMU. That's all coming up over the next three hours here on "Wake And Bake" - {Note that tomorrow and Friday the DJ in this slot, also trying out for this new opening, will be Jim the Poet who u know from "Sportsy Talk" on WFMU with Bronwyn C (not to be confused with WFMU's Bronwyn B).

Projections show Jersey City and the surrounding area are likely to get 6 to 8 inches. www.nj.com... New Jersey governor Chris Christie signed a bill into law this week that will enable lottery tickets to be delivered directly to ticket buyers in their homes. According to the new legislation, New Jersey residents will now be able to pay private couriers to deliver their lottery tickets, a service one general assembly member believes is important since many other goods such as food, water, and clothing can be delivered in order to "make peoples' lives easier." (Please note the irony here. Lottery tickets are being compared in level of necessity to food, water, and clothing.) www.nj.com... A new bill facing the state senate could make New Jersey the first state to outlaw child brides. The bill, which passed a Senate sub-committee this week 10-to-1, with Senator Michael Doherty of Warren casting the lone dissenting vote, would make it illegal for children under the age of 18 to marry, even with parental consent. 	6:56am Marcel M: Brooklyn Bicycle Weather/Traffic Report with Marcel M Looks like the rain should hold out today although the roads will still be wet for a bit. You may want to pack a light rain coat just in case.. The temperature in Northern Brooklyn right now is 42 and will climb up to 45 by 8am and then up to 58 by 2pm dropping down to 49 around 6. Gear wise today looks like you'll need a light jacket or sweatshirt if even! Its mad warm! Bike traffic will be up a bit from yesterday but shouldn't be too crazy because of the overcast weather. Look out for doors and look out for the cops.

	7:10am annie: sammus, it was much more hometown than it is now with all baseball and tourists. the reants were cheap, and the food was good. lots of diners and authentic pub food. tons of bars and lazy-summer main-streets. tyhe colleges boosted the population, then they left in may. it was OUR city; you could walk down the street and know all the shop owners. ..now it's just a city trying to find a hook and something to explot.
