Really makes you appreciate both Bowie's writing & vocalization - & he had that Theatre element. I wonder if Ms. Caruso is related to Enrico?

Pulling out some real gems here today, Tamar.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:19am
Ike:

Hi folks. @Annie, no, Boxing Day is still not a thing here. it's Christmas Day (Observed). Yesterday was Sunday so it didn't "count". Hence I get today off! Yay.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22am
Mike East:

@Ike - I'm jealous. We have no observation here. My bosses get off without paying out a holiday for xmas and New Years this year. Total BS.
Avatar 10:51am
SheWolf:

Yeah in the US we don't do Boxing Day but because Xmas was on a Sunday, Monday becomes the federal holiday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55am
Mike East:

I was just thinking about Rita Lee last week...completely randomly.

@ME@10:22, that blow goats!
Avatar 10:56am
annie:

how long ago did that happen? wow... they switch it to suit themselves? guess i am really out of touch with the "new ways". well, happy boxing day anyway.since this is laid-back asheville i'll leave a little green for the mailman, ahem ahem. wait, if they have the day off, then no one gets any gitfties.. that sucks.

iiiiiii k e e e e:

This worker-friendly policy is a "new way"? I sure hope not. I hope not everybody used to get stuck w/the BS that Mike East's employer is pulling...? M-F workers deserve a day off for Xmas and New Year's no matter where those fall on the calendar. Labor rights, yeah!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10am
Uncle Michael:

My employer is observing the Federal holiday today...but not next Monday. Sort that one out. Best part, there will be NO work to do next Monday and I'll be missing my Blackhawks in the NHL Winter Classic.
  11:20am
Listener Robert:

Huh...so "Blue Lake" is the same tune as "Fernando"?
Avatar 11:21am
annie:

well, if we're talking workers' rights, then the whole system deserves an overhaul. it's slowly been crafted to benefit big box employers. so, with christmas falling on a monday next year, does that mean they get the following day, too? makes sense to me. now, let's settle election day issues, too.

Curses Eccles...I missed Stanley Unwin!

when we were kds my dad kept us home on the jewish holidays. just to make a point to the school that jesus was not the only reason for the season. hehe, he was also anti-semitic, which was to laugh.
