How do I get my genius artist friend a gallery or agent?

We need more parties in the USA
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm
Liz Berg:

@crateslinger: I don't have the answer but if you figure it out, lemme know! I've got a genius artist friend, too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm
JP from KC:

A damn fine suggestion, Private. I'll get Andrew WK on the phone immediately. Of course, in Trump's America, we may be forced to fight for our right to party. Someone better reach out to the remaining members of the Beastie Boys...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22pm
Private Presley:

I voted for the Beach Boys' Party!

crateslinger:

Dang. Thanks Liz. I will update you if I get anywhere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm
Liz Berg:

@createslinger: like most fields, I fear the answer is all about connections... but perhaps there is a way to break through.
Avatar 12:28pm
crateslinger:

One would hope that talent is worth something, at least sometimes.
Avatar 12:31pm
crateslinger:

Although appraisal of artist talent is about as subjective as anything can be, there must be a way... somebody will do it again soon. Why not somebody we know?
Avatar 12:32pm
steve:

hey all. crateslinger -

1) same advice as Liz, it is about connections... i was about to type "have a friend who owns a gallery or is an agent."

2) there's an increasing amount of actual science on why things 'go viral' or are shared organically which these days can play a huge role in an art or design career.
Avatar 12:35pm
crateslinger:

@ steve - any advice on how to get Chloe Sevigny to like an instagram page?
Avatar 12:35pm
steve:

yes. do something uniquely relevant to the interests of Chloe Sevigny.
Avatar 12:39pm
crateslinger:

hmm. Maybe I should forget about my friend and concentrate on this new project... getting Chloe Sevigny's attention. Maybe she's listening right now in some stainless steel and frosted glass Tribeca kitchen. Liz, once again, it's all up to you!

W3 is mind-blowing. Huge open world full of detail, amazing graphics. The Game of Thrones of games for sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm
Mark the Sardine:

At this point is it best to start with W3? Or play 1 and 2 first?

Wow this Susijat thing.

Polyus:

Dig the crazy person on the drum kit there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:10pm
mariano:

I started with 2 knowing nothing about the backstory. 1&2 are more limited, not quite as open world. I'd start with 2 or 3 and go to YouTube to get a crash course in the backstory, some good videos up there. 1 is good too, but the graphics just seem out of date, especially compared to 3, if that's a concern. Decisions you make in 2 have repercussions in 3.

Very sad I missed this Barwick live at Monty Hall; very glad to hear it on Joe McG's show. Went to see her at Union Pool on Sat. but it turned out to be a benefit for some dumb school with a crapload of dumb screaming kids running around crashing into everybody's legs and messing everything up. Williamsburg blows goats.
