I have never heard anybody honored so much at the station . Good for Billy. People that takes risks and go out of thier way for things they believe in are something to behold and there are many at FMU and the FMU extended family

Keep all the Billy stories coming you guys!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:20pm
Matt F:

The Presley story reminds me of another piece of classic Billy stage patter, from when the A-Bones shared a bill with the Jim Jones Revue in New Orleans during Ponderosa Stomp week: "People have described the Jim Jones Revue as a cross between the MC5 and Jerry Lee Lewis, which is interesting because the A-Bones are often described as a cross between the DC5 and Jerry Lewis".

Dungaroos Kipawah:

At one of the Stomps, I showed Billy a copy of the Toussaint McCall "Nothing Takes the Place of You" Ronn LP that Mr. McCall had just signed. He was mesmerized by the hilarious cover, in which a sad, lonely, coiffured man reads his Dear John kissoff and his now ex looks at him, from the misty diffuse distance, ready to jumpstart her new romance with assuredly a rich Adonis. Both wear powder blue clothes and the whole thing looks like it was art directed by the local yearbook photographer. Billy looked at it, called Miriam over and beamed, "This guy looks just like Teddy Randazzo!" I can't look at it now without thinking of Randazzo, Billy or Miriam.
