I'll have what that gif is having. Hi Kurt, fellow Minis.

Dean:

Haven't listened to this in ages. Kinda prefer the Golijov work with Krakauer and Kronos Quartet, "The Dreams And Prayers Of Isaac The Blind."
Avatar 3:57pm
Kurt Gottschalk:

yes, that's a nice one as well for sure.

Enjoying this Ayre.
  4:06pm
Dean:

I'm reminded of Toyohiko Satoh's compositions as performed by his Alba Musica Kyo on Channel Classics. Satoh and the ensemble ordinarily performed genuine early music. The same informs Satoh's own work.
  4:09pm
Dean:

Definitely have to revisit this Ayre.
Avatar 4:11pm
Kurt Gottschalk:

you're revisiting it now!

Meant to say, "rerevisit." Or "rerevisitvisit."

Did Leonard Cohen have the same backup singers throughout his career? Such a distinctive style to their vocals.

What was weird for me is that I had stuffed The Future into my crate Tuesday evening, after that disastrous election, feeling that a couple of songs seemed appropriate and thought I'd play them. Just about an hour before I left my house for my show, read the news that he had passed away.

Dean -- fuck, is that why his picture turned up in my Instagram feed? Shee-it, are we ever going to wake up and find out that 2106 is a sustained nightmare?
  5:40pm

Kurt announced it at the break, too. At least Allison lived a full, evidently relatively placid life. But still, he's an icon.

Tchicai and John Stevens here. Amazing.
