His name is Yesse! Don't to Neu! for an answer.

Hey James and Doug! Have you been sleeping enough?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm
Doug Schulkind:

Rust(y) never sleeps, Jesse.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm
listener james from westwood:

I'm a bit sleep deprived, but that's par for the course.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm
Ike:

Greetings, you dang dirty hippies, punks, art flappers, lobsters, and Masons!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm
listener james from westwood:

Had a feeling this was Carpenter before I flicked over to the playlist. Had that syntho-cinematic feel of the last third of a movie. Chase scene, maybe.
Avatar 7:24pm
Jesse K:

Hey Ike, it's all true!
@James, that's a new collection but it's super on the nose style wise. More of the same, which is great for me

These photos are all the flowers I could find in Glacier National Park this past July. Taken on my phone so some are a little fuzzy

I like listening to music as old as I am....

greetings Jesse & others
...having to listen low and hear loud the soundtrack to what i'm hoping is one of the worst tv shows on these days. ("kardashians")
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- yeah ngh - liking music from around when you were born is a thing, I believe.
Avatar 8:12pm
Jesse K:

Hawdy northguineahills, coelacanth! I'm glad to be in the mix, I feel like I can be at least a foil to their antics
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm
coelacanth:

ahhh. my niece left. she asked me if i wanted to keep watching. i just smiled and she smiled because we both knew the answer to that already!
...this hydrophobic baptism is dark and cool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yeah neat-o set.
Avatar 8:23pm

I don't know why it took me this long to catch on to the Skull Defekts!

Hi Revolution Rabbit!

i am glad you did 'cause i never heard of them before!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
coelacanth:

excellent flora pix.
...the Scheich in China image - how long was that flower? (drupe?)
Avatar 8:33pm
Jesse K:

Thanks, I was maybe 3 inches at the most if I remember right
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
coelacanth:

it's pretty amazing looking! it looks a bit like something i saw in golden gate park but those were 6-7" long and leaning more toward the orange.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm
coelacanth:

(this one actually looks cooler, to me)
Avatar 8:43pm
Jesse K:

I think the flowers on the Butch track are called "Dodecatheon hendersonii" or Shooting Stars
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48pm
listener james from westwood:

Ah, fire-and-brimstone preachers, ironically enriching dance music for 30+ years.
Avatar 8:51pm
Jesse K:

I believe the preacher in this case this is C. L. Franklin, father of Aretha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm
coelacanth:

@ 8:43 that sounds right. the last one looks like some kind of phlox; and the first one is a laurel.
Avatar 8:58pm
northguineahills:

I'm in the middle of packing to take a job in FL and divorcing my wife (we've been together for 9 years) and I've been in NYC for 16 years, so this is the perfect soundtrack. Thankssssssssszzz!
Avatar 9:00pm
Jesse K:

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear that northguineahills. That's a lot of big transitions, hopefully it all leads to good things in the end for you
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:03pm
Ike:

Bummer @NGH, hang in there.
Avatar 9:15pm
northguineahills:

Wow, this Guy called Gerald reminds me of Jonah Sharp's Spacetime Continuum project circa 1995's "Space Biscuit".
Avatar 9:17pm
Jesse K:

Oh interesting, I'm unfamiliar with that! Will dig into it..

whoops. 1994.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:24pm
coelacanth:

ngh, hopefully it's a change for the better. divorce usually is (though we always hoped it would last forever); job change, just sometimes.
... but of course it's a major upheaval. as Ike said, hang in there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm
coelacanth:

(...and residence, of course. that's huge...i was thinking it but didn't say it.)
Avatar 9:34pm

Packing CDs, and just hit the "S"s.
Avatar 9:36pm
Jesse K:

Copy of Sea Biscuit?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37pm
coelacanth:

are you taking/sending a truck to fla? (you can wait 'till after you get there to answer if you want!)
Avatar 9:37pm
northguineahills:

Yep, no infidelity on my part, I just liquidated all of my assets and ran out of money, I couldn't make rent in June. She didn't want to leave NYC b/c she thinks all of non-NYC is Trump-town, and meeting my family multiple times didn't help that impression (she's Mexican).
Avatar 9:40pm
northguineahills:

My brother was originally going to copilot me w/ a van down to FL, but he just got a job, so it will be my father. Luckily I have friends that will help me move my records and books. B/c I've been couch surfing, and riding my bike everywhere, I figured out a way to sprain both ankles on the same day, I'm good at absurd injuries!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm
coelacanth:

well shit, that's sad. i hope the two of you stay close.
Avatar 9:43pm
Jesse K:

Oh man both ankles! I guess that sounds about right. When I broke up with my gf of 12 years I broke my wrist almost right away
Avatar 9:45pm
northguineahills:

I'm not a vindictive person, but some friends have suggested that she married me for immigration status, after she wanted me out 2 years ago, b/c I was no longer pulling in a great salary. I told her NYC is not where senior GIS jobs were, and offered to move upstate, Austin, Colorado, CA, but no dice. I found plenty of jobs in FL, and I have friends and family there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm
Ike:

Yeah @NGH, from everything you have typed about this lady over the years (admittedly that's limited context), I must say, it sounds like she doesn't appreciate you. Here's to finding someone cooler (and hotter, with luck) in FL.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm
coelacanth:

hmm - yeah. maybe for the better.
...and at least you can get and interact with wfmu everywhere now!
Avatar 9:48pm
northguineahills:

Yeah, I ended up skiing down my friend's steps carrying my bike spraining my left ankle, and 20 minutes later (as I was walking my bike) I slipped and my hit a scaffolding and the pedal pounded into my ankle. I don't recognize physical pain, and helped a friend move out of his studio into another. That and biking around exacerbated the imflamation.
Avatar 9:50pm
northguineahills:

I'll be fine, thanks. I just need 2-3 years to build up my savings again. The income/cost-of-living ratio is ridiculous in FL, compared to NYC.
Avatar 9:50pm
Jesse K:

Hopefully you got credit for the move-related injury and now friend-debt to help out with yours!
Avatar 9:51pm
northguineahills:

Oh, I have at least 5 friends that said they'd help move. Damn, why do I have so many records!
Avatar 9:51pm
Jesse K:

On a completely unrelated note, the cupcake bakery below me has caused my studio to completely smell like cinnamon buns!
Avatar 9:53pm
Jesse K:

Nows a good time to wonder that, as long as they last the hot moving truck. I've moved every year for the past 5 years and looks like doing it again this year and somehow I haven't managed to throw enough away to make it worth the effort.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:55pm
coelacanth:

jeez. you're a serial self-injurer!
...for me it was a couple of ribs. at the time i attributed it to thinking negative thoughts (not vindictive or wishful; but "what-if" thoughts!) while running barefoot in the woods while it was raining.
Avatar 9:59pm
northguineahills:

Yeah, coelacanth, I have a reputation for absurd injuries w/ my friends. Nite!

Thanks Jesse!
Avatar 10:00pm
Jesse K:

Best of luck with all this northguineahills!
Have a great night everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:00pm
coelacanth:

there it is. my computer threatened to not make it to the end.
Thanks Jesse!
'hope it all goes smoothly with you ngh!
good night all. peace go with you.
