A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

When you pledge during a period where the presenter is offering to give away a prize, does everyone who donates get entered into the draw during that time, whether you phone in or make a pledge online, or do only callers get put into the draw? I'm in the UK so unless I make a call by Skype, I'm unlikely to phone!

Maybe I SHOULD have sent unsolicited a gallon of my bath foam (which by now has so degraded as to lose most of its foaminess), even if you didn't have the dispensers for it. Surprised to hear monogrammed towels are sturdier than most, because that contradicts my experience. I inherited my parents' decorative monogrammed towels that we were never allowed to use, but just had hung by the bathtub. I can remember getting yelled at at least once as a child when I got soap in my eyes & reached up for the first towel my hand found, monogrammed. But once I started using them in my new home, they ripped apart in the wash along the stitching much faster than most towels did.
