They were all moody and about drifting fog, which really sounds weird considering the poppy music... Also, "Ace in the Hole" is superb, and makes for a great cynical newspaper movie double-bill with "Sweet Smell of Success".

	11:09am Rich in Washington: Overall, I've always found the comments and overall nature of WFMU listeners on the board to be really pleasant. The couple of times I've subbed on (GTDR) WFMU shows, I found the commenters to be encouraging and fun to interact with. I wish we had that kind of connection with listeners at my regular station. Maybe some WFMU shows/hours get less favorable listener/commenters but I've not seen a lot of it.

It is not just that they're out in front in terms of incorporating web presence into the station's life -- it's that what they're doing is so elemental. Of course they're recording shows and archiving them. Of course they're video simul-webbing key programs. Of course they have a web playlist where listeners can follow what's playing. Don't all stations do that? No? No other stations do that?? Amazing.

They were all moody and about drifting fog, which really sounds weird considering the poppy music... Also, "Ace in the Hole" is superb, and makes for a great cynical newspaper movie double-bill with "Sweet Smell of Success".

	11:07am P-90: Just searched Merry Clayton to see what she's been up to lately, didnt know she lost both legs below the knees in a car accident in 2014. Doing OK and back in the studio now.
	11:09am Rich in Washington: Overall, I've always found the comments and overall nature of WFMU listeners on the board to be really pleasant. The couple of times I've subbed on (GTDR) WFMU shows, I found the commenters to be encouraging and fun to interact with. I wish we had that kind of connection with listeners at my regular station. Maybe some WFMU shows/hours get less favorable listener/commenters but I've not seen a lot of it.

It is not just that they're out in front in terms of incorporating web presence into the station's life -- it's that what they're doing is so elemental. Of course they're recording shows and archiving them. Of course they're video simul-webbing key programs. Of course they have a web playlist where listeners can follow what's playing. Don't all stations do that? No? No other stations do that?? Amazing.
