Does FMU have the 18-disc version?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

I believe Irwin sang this at Hoof 'n' Mouth a few years back.
Avatar 10:30pm
Bronwyn Bishop:

Ken, I hope you mean the Dylan piece and not this one.
Avatar 10:30pm
Dave Mandl:

Ken: That's correct. Complete with signs, just like in the original video.
Avatar 10:31pm
Dave Mandl:

@RRN63: Not sure. They seem to be trickling in one at a time.

good sounds, dave! hello yoos!
  10:38pm
JakeGould:

Pretty sure if you stand outside of the F train stop at 7th Avenue and 9th Street in Park Slope with a sign that reads, “Got the Dylan Bootleg Series? Please Burn Me a Copy.” You can get like 20 copies in an hour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

@Bronwyn - Yes, Dylan.
Avatar 10:47pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...I mean - there is an 18-disc version of this latest Vol. 12 Dylan alone ! It could be a stream of its' own for a while...
Avatar 10:48pm
Bronwyn Bishop:

Haha thanks Ken, I was just being silly by asking that. I was picturing Irwin singing a bossa nova and it amused me.
Avatar 10:48pm
Bronwyn Bishop:

Yay Miles!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48pm

FMU could have a Miles Davis stream, too.

@Jake: Haha, probably true
@RRN63: Yes, 100% Dylan Bootleg Series Radio. Let's make this happen.
Avatar 10:50pm

@pss: I'd listen to that stream 24/7.

FMU should have a stream that simply does massive catalogs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53pm
pacific standard simon:

Double, double, toil and trouble,
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Avatar 10:54pm
Dave Mandl:

Hey Ike, rw, Andrew.
@rw: Oh, I get it. That's why there's no apostrophe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55pm
pacific standard simon:

Round about the caldron go;
In the poison'd entrails throw.—
Toad, that under cold stone,
Days and nights has thirty-one;
Swelter'd venom sleeping got,
Boil thou first i' the charmed pot!
  10:55pm
rw:

Not sure what mr Davis was thinking but that's one possibility.
Avatar 10:56pm
Dave Mandl:

@rw: Probably true. I think he was asked about the spelling and was adamant about "Bitches."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:57pm
Andrew Waterloo:

I remember having the same discussion over Mike and Ike candy not too long ago.
  10:59pm
JakeGould:

I like Mike and Ike candy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59pm
Andrew Waterloo:

I'm sure the typographer had more of a say when it came to that noisy apostrophe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59pm
pacific standard simon:

Mike and Ike is made from eye of newt and toe of frog.
  11:00pm

Mike and Ike are just long—as opposed to egg shaped—jelly beans.

Hey, people who live in candy houses should not be bitter.

People who live in candy houses are witches who...

JakeGould:

@pacificstandardsimon: Beware of old ladies who live in the woods. All of their food is to just suck you in and drain the life out of you as they talk about this, that and the other!

Frau Totenkinder put a spell on you, because you're HERS.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13pm

I just today finished the 33 1/3 book about Another Green World. It was OK, but less fun than the music.

Still working on the Brian Eno covers compilation, from YouTube posts. I'm impressed by the fearlessness of so many amateurs.

pss: I was a finalist for 33.3 this time around, but they picked some lame-ass bullshit over my thoughtful and very well-written (if I do say so myself) contribution, so screw them. ;)

@Holly - can you say what you wanted to write about? Just curious.

Ben Uno-Air Logic:

Your*

Grammatical error bedtime.
Avatar 11:28pm
HollyT:

Sure. I proposed Stereolab's "Cobra and Phases Group Play Voltage in the Milky Night." I'm convinced the reason they rejected it is that the title is too long to fit on the book spine. :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29pm
pacific standard simon:

A lot of those books are written about records by artists that I like, though NOT about the record that I would have chosen to examine in depth.
Avatar 11:33pm
HollyT:

I considered a different 'Lab record, but ultimately I just chose the one I thought would hold my attention for the six or seven months they give you to write the manuscript.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33pm
pacific standard simon:

Hah, maybe. I'd like to think that was the reason they did Another Green World, instead of Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy), but I know that's not true. Another Green World really was an important transitional record. But I still liked the previous record better.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:40pm
pacific standard simon:

My first guess on the Lemon Kittens track, before you posted the track information, was Lol Coxhill.
Avatar 11:45pm
Dave Mandl:

@pss: Could be, I guess.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48pm
pacific standard simon:

@Dave - I doubt that I could identify more than 2% of the artists you play just from listening. I suppose that's a good thing.
Avatar 11:51pm
Dave Mandl:

@pss: Yeah, I guess. I try not to be too predictable.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55pm
pacific standard simon:

It's predictable that you're going to play something I've never heard before that expands my consciousness.
