one of the nicest live shows i recall was seeing Roy Orbison at the Lone Star Cafe' in NYC, early 80s. hearing that voice up close .. unreal. beautiful!

also saw Tom Petty up close at the Bottom Line, right after the first record. a great, raw show! very high energy. we were right up close. can't forget the way he pointedly flirted with my 16 year old companion throughout the show. no tryst resulted, but she was thrilled.
