KQ's "Purple Haze" is on their album with Sculthorpe et al. When I heard them back in the day, they'd encore with a medley of TV show theme songs ("I Love Lucy," etc.).

Check that CD, Kurt. Ten-to-one it's a PDO disk from pre-1993 or so. Those Unicorn disks were among the ones defectively manufactured by PDO. They bronze to death. I replaced a huge number of PDO disks back in the '90s. I'd report the titles to PDO and they'd send a good replacement.

@Jeff: Right, it's oxidation (probably). Philips & Dupont Optical were the culprits. They pressed a crapload of Hyperion disks during that time, too. Lost a bunch of them. But props to them for making good on replacements!
