A viking ship appears on the horizon, a likeness of Alice Coltrane carved into its bow. Rare birds flock together to sing Francoise Hardy as soul hits. A sunset of blips and bleeps fills the air.

Morning! Happy spring! Lighter evenings so we can come out of hibernation. Is Dom La Nena playing live live, or is it recorded. If the former, tell her I've forgiven her for cancelling her London gig last autumn! :-)

Irene Trudel:

Good morning Trouble! Nice to hear that Gary Bartz tune first thing. That album was produced by my father-in-law, Orrin Keepnews and on my show tonight at 9pm Peter & I are hosting an on-air tribute to him.

Tried the wire site, accidentally wound up on Wired.co.uk...did you know that TIDAL, the newest streaming service, is artist owned? I've been using it because it features uncompressed, cd quality streaming, really sounds nice.

@doctorjazz: yes, all the major pop musicians went on a crazy advertising campaign for Tidal.

Trouble, I thought of you this morning when I read about this long lost Gainsbourg score that has just been found. www.factmag.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14am

i try to live up to the standards set by UPS, and I am glad i passed polyus!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14am
doctorjazz:

Missed it, don't watch much live TV, stream stuff I'm interested, Netflix and the like, don't listen to commercial radio, FMU and Tidal for the most part, out of the loop, I guess. Not as much in the way of playlists and help discovering stuff as some of the other straming services, but TIDAL really is good sounding, when one tears themselves away from FMU, that is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14am

oooo that sounds fab erella, can't wait to read that when i am off air.
