I visited LA for the first time back in January, and I loved it -- plenty for us non-rich folks to do. Beverly Hills, I didn't see, nor even Pasadena.
  1:40am
JakeGould:

@rw: “Jake, I often wonder if my middle class American lifestyle would (similarly) appear not human to most of the world's population.” True. Good point. But the big difference I see between middle class and upper-class life is simple: I never had maids, servants or even nannies growing up. I think most people in non-middle class scenarios can relate to having somewhat more resources to make their life better rather than having so much wealth you are on another planet.

There Goes My Babe was indeed a demo intended for Cher, recorded in June 1966. Buffalo Springfield shared a management team with Sonny & Cher - Greene and Stone, who wanted the Springfield to record demos they could peddle to other acts since they had a cut of the publishing. Also out of this strategy came the Mojo Men's version of Stills' Sit Down I Think I Love You.
