Ken & Bosh, it's what a lot of people call subscription, and you do it the smart way. There are organiz'ns that take lifetime memberships in lump sum payments, meaning they're gambling that the recurring costs will be less than what that single payment brought in, including the oppt'y cost of foregone periodic donations. Sometimes that deal is made by an organiz'n that's desperate at a particular time for funds.

An example was the US Chess Feder'n, which for a single payment = 10 yrs. of annual dues (or 5 yrs. of sustaining, i.e. double, dues) made one a member for life. I think WFMU is smarter not to offer such a deal.
