The lines from Hazlet to V-Z and back in every gas station and supermarkets, BJs was out of water, the end is coming again but in 2 days all it's going to be is a few less parking spots for a few days.

Hello people! Working from home and snowstorm = ME. Here. Hi.

JakeGould:

Matt, what did you think of “Inherent Vice?” I hear it’s not so hot.
Avatar 3:37am
Matt from Springfield:

Haven't seen it, Jake. I'm interested in seeing it. Is the film considered to be not so great, or is it a confusing story from Pynchon?

Matt from Springfield:

Panda Bear = Beach-ish Boys! Huzzah!
  3:42am
JakeGould:

The film seems itself to be a stinker. Even Paul Thomas Anderson fans say this is pretty bad; meaning it’s probably pompous more than fun.

Prince's new song! He's still got IT!

Hi Samantha! Nice filling in you're doing. Didn't know Prince had a new record out--coolness.

Nasty Les:

@JakeGould Disappointed to hear Inherent Vice isn't meant to be too good. As a big fan of both Pynchon and Paul Thomas Anderson I was (well, still am, since its not out for a while here in Germany) looking forward to it a lot. I read some good reviews early on though - I get the feeling it depends a bit on what your expectations are; the plot of the book is very 'nebulous' for want of a better word, so I can imagine that would probably frustrate a lot of people that nothing seems to be explained, and you're left with more questions than answers. Usually, that works just fine for me though ;-)

Sem Chumbo:

Good morning, Samantha, and all. Saw Inherent Vice without being familiar with any recent Pynchon, my first thought was "It's a *surreal* remake of the Big Lebowski." But now reading a lot of newer Pynchon, so that opinion seems ready to change.

LOVE me some Body/Head, and the Sun Ra is beautiful! Just under three hours until my work night ends, thanks for the great tunes......no snow down here along the Gulf coast : )

the Canterbury wood-elf:

Beautiful selections Samantha. I wish you had a regular slot during my waking hours.

I caught The Orb's 25th anniversary concert in London last year (or was it the year before?), still very much a vibrant, vital force.

patrick:

Are these song listing right? I heard something in French but ti wasn't The Limananas..?
  6:10am
Mark:

The Liminanas are from Quebec, so a lot of (all?) their songs are in fact in French.
  6:12am
patrick:

But I thought I heard something with a guy speaking in French. And then I think some Chris Morris/Blue Jam.
