Favoriting January 6, 2015: ANTONIO SANCHEZ (Birdman)
Soundtrack composer ANTONIO SANCHEZ joins MORRICONE ISLAND to discuss his groundbreaking (almost entirely drumkit) score to director Alejandro González Iñárritu's "Birdman" which accompanies the film's faded star portrayed by Michael Keaton and is one of the five nominated soundtracks for Best Original Score at this Sunday's Golden Globes Awards. The two will discuss how the jazz drummer most known for his work with Pat Metheny, Chick Corea and Gary Burton became involved with the film and how he and Iñárritu arose at this unconventional approach to film scoring.

I'm almost positive that my company has provided drums for Antonio Sanchez at some point in the last year or two...or maybe he rehearsed here
