Today was awesome in DC by the way. Went out for my daily walk on the mall, and lo and behold - NO TOURISTS. Sweet. Went right up to Washington Monument and inside. Nice lunchtime touristy thing with NO wait at all. Unbelievable. Took lots of nice snow pics and stuff.

Speaking only for my circadian rhythm's buzz, I really dig the show in this Eastern Time Zone.

Also, might have three Woof-Moo scarfs on. I ordered two more last night from Crapola-Central-WFMU

Snow pics are great! I took some about 3 years ago and again last year, but haven't since. Waiting for a huge snowstorm worth snapping. Autumn is chock full of colors though, so there's always something new to photograph there.

I'm still completely lost in the song list set for this show. I feel almost as if I've wondered into a GTDS show.

Mrs P:

Yes it was a wonderful hour Irene. So happy that you are on in the evening now.
Avatar 10:07pm
Van in DC:

And by that, I mean, I mostlys LOVE GTDS songs but I know so little of what Doug plays. It's always mostly completely introductory lessons for Van in DC. That is what this is tonight for me too. But it's in a good way. If that makes sense?
Avatar 10:09pm
adrian in mpls:

@Van - it definitely makes sense. to me, one of the joys of wfmu is that i learn about so much music that i didn't know existed.
Avatar 10:10pm
Matt from Springfield:

@Van: Irene's eclectic enough for me not to know all of whom she plays -- which is ideal! Someone here once summed up a credo: "I want to like what I hear, not hear what I like!"
Avatar 10:10pm
Van in DC:

+1 for adrian :)

+1 for Matt :)

Thanks Mrs P, P90, Adrian, Sean, Matt and Van! I try not to be too predictable in what I play, although I do have my favorites. Gotta shake things up every so often.

Honest confession - this (Beatles) song is the first song I've recognized tonight on this show.
Avatar 10:39pm
Matt from Springfield:

I already know "If I Fell", that's for sure - but I just took the rare step of Clicky Starring it away, since I love it that much!
(I think I've done that for a couple Kinks songs, among others I already know).
Avatar 10:39pm
Van in DC:

Reminds me of...oh I don't know.

Steeleye Span?

Ahhh... those incomparable harmonies! And funnily enough, the lyrics to that song with closer inspection have nothing to do with love and everything to do with spite. GENIUS!
