Nica looks rather temperamental. WFMU's very own Grumpy Cat. Maybe Nica is just upset that the pledge total is not higher.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm

@Van: you get it when the annual pledge is renewed (usually at Marathon time), but it goes away when the next fundraising round comes around, like other hearts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm
Mike East:

No, Van - you gotta pledge more this month if you want a heart (and if you want fmu to survive and prosper)...something I plan on doing this week now that I've paid a few big bills I was waiting to get outta the way.

@kat: hmm, I wonder if it varies by payment method...
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 1:13pm

@Caryn, I not that good on 'techy' things, do have to enable your "heart' on your WFMU profile?
Avatar 1:14pm
kat330:

@Caryn: No, it was just some weird anomaly. We've had a lot of those over the years. Van is blessed, but we're usually in the doghouse, even as cat fans. ;)
Avatar 1:14pm
Van in DC:

That could be. I always pay in full immediately rather than future pledge
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:14pm
DCE:

Avatar 1:15pm

Avatar 1:15pm
d¢ pät:

I got the heart but FMU didn't get my dough yet. There was some sort of Paypal snafu. Engaging McGasko about it...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm
Caryn:

@Sean: nope, but I suppose if a heart isn't showing up when it should, it's always good to check that the "don't display heart" box isn't ticked on one's profile.
Avatar 1:15pm
kat330:

@Van: No, the pledge was done perfectly and normally and, no, it is nothing that must be activated on one's profile. We were told it sometimes is delayed waiting to be "imported." But I don't think it would ever have shown on Philo's if Joe hadn't gone in manually.
Avatar 1:16pm
Van in DC:

Well the good thing is FMU has all our hearts
Avatar 1:16pm
kat330:

But IAE, I've pledged twice already since the snafu was fixed, and those have gone without a hitch. [knocking on wood]
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:17pm
Caryn:

I'll have to see how my heart appears once I pledge next week.
Avatar 1:19pm
kat330:

@Caryn: I'm sure you'll have no problem seeing it immediately. Like I said, Philo and I seem to be truly "freeform" as the exceptions to the FMU rule in all cases. :)
