Morning all. Anyone listen to Todd-O-Phonic's show just now? I was really surprised to learn that Rex has a favorite KISS song! Maybe I was no more surprised than Rex to find this out, but still, you live and learn.
some stuff about volcanoes, in case it turns out to be a massive one....... Bardarbunga volcanoes and volcanic system to it is one of the most extensive in the country. The system is thought to extend about 150 miles south to the fishing lake and turf glacier, north of Dyngjuháls and Trölladyngju. 27 eruptions are known in this system; the last eruption was in 1862 to 1864.
Bárðarbunga system is one of five known volcanic systems in Vatnajökull, and one of the most powerful. Self-peeling in Bárðarbunga is seventy square kilometers covered ice; it is thought that the box was about 43 cubic kilometers of glacial ice.
From the settlement is known about 27 eruptions within this system, but most of them have been under a glacier. It is known that the eruption occured Bárðarbunga itself, but most likely eruption under the glacier north of it in 1902, when the glacier went Jökulsá the mountains and Skjálfandafljót. The book Björnsson, glaciers in Iceland, is led out of the can also have erupted in this region in the early 18th century when degraded lands in Kelduhverfi, when the gel was Jökulsá.
Four sprungugos have been outside glacier Bárðarbunga system; two flæðigos that formed Tröllahraun and the leading edge, and two large tætigos in Vatnaöldur 870 and Veiðivötn's 1480th Both eruptions caused ash falls in half of the country. So-called colonization slag found in tephra layers are made of Water Wave eruption and ash fall from the eruption Veiðivötn is the highest that has occurred in this country. Prehistoric eruptions of this system have been high and cause devastating effects. Thjórsá lava, lava flooded the largest planet in the modern was a cracking bar Bárðarbunga System southwest of the glacier for about 8600 years
Effects jacks and Jökulhlaups
In the years 1711 to 1729 is considered certain that the eruption in the northwestern Vatnajökull has caused at least nine floods that caused damage on fields and meadows in Öxarfjörður and Kelduhverfi. Prehistoric catastrophic floods in Jökulsá the mountains, however, are the ones that have had the greatest impact on the environment. They were huge floods, with flow ranges from 200,000 to one million cubic meters per second. One such flood is believed to have occurred 8-9000 years ago, and traces of the strata judge is believed that 16 such disasters flood came as four thousand years. The flood buried Jökulsárgljúfur in its current form, and Ásbyrgi and moved to a massive amount of mud and stones. In Vesturdalur, just north of the cliff has catastrophic floods swept away slag crater left Hljóðaklettar. They are what remains of the infrastructure fissure opened up about 9000 years ago (Helgi Björnsson).

@Rex: Is George (Mr. Kravitz) Tobias the "I appreciate good music, stuff like that" voice?
I just realized that for all these years and years of Saturdays, without really thinking about it consciously, I've assumed it was almost certainly Shemp! It sounds a lot like him, and it's his kind of line. Wow.
