Woke at 4:30 am to discover a mouse in our very small apt :-(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:03am Thrill:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:04am Doug Schulkind:

@Gary
Just give the mouse a teensy set of headphones and away we go!
Avatar 9:04am glenn:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09am Doug Schulkind:

Oh Stimmhorn dudes, I love you!
Avatar 9:09am ndbob:

My friend had a mouse in her house - he would only eat the dog's food - he would sit in the living room and watch TV with them
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11am Doug Schulkind:

While Gary's mouse was pace the floorboards at 4:30 this morning, I was still working on this radio show. Went to bed at 4:38 in fact. No worries, I do my best work when exhausted.

Oh Doug! You coulda called me at around 2:30am. I was on the couch watching old Colbert Reports and eating ice cream. Y'know: working.

And re pets: our a-hole cat peed all over my daughter's bed last night.
  9:17am Gary:

@Doug sleep dep ... Is that why you're snaaring?
Avatar 9:17am ausmanx:

i think i'll be aüsmaanx this evening. surely you can buy a heap of snaars at ikea?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19am Doug Schulkind:

At about 2:30 this morning, one of our "scaredy" cats ventured out of our bedroom and down stairs where it promptly woke up the dog who pursued the cat, hissing and cussing, back up the stairs and into the bathroom where it was cornered against the tub. Later, I was pulling claws out of the dog's fur and calming her down. Oy.
Avatar 9:20am ndbob:

Woah Doug
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:23am Doug Schulkind:

We have three cats. One is totally chill and kind of works around the dog to get what she wants. The other two cats have chosen to remain closeted in bedrooms away from the dog and only creep out when the dog is outside or asleep. It's a cross between Animal Farm and Marlin Perkins's Wild Kingdom over here.

I saw a live show the other night that was perfectly fine, but the drum sound was terrible and it almost ruined it for me.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38am Doug Schulkind:

@glenn
That's the game I was referencing! Tippy Martinez came in after Tim Stoddard gave up the home run in the top of the 10th. Then Tippy picked off three in a row. Ripken hit a game-tying homer to lead off the bottom of the 10th, then later in the inning Lenn Sakata hit a 3-run tater.

Avatar 11:07am Holly in NC:

@Doug - We/re in end game. Tuck can't walk at all on hardwood, so I lay trails of runners ahead of him and partially carry him when necessary. That gets him outside to pee. Reverse course to get back. he collapses on first available runner. I just refilled shallow plastic container of h20 that I keep right by his head. As far as food goes he has given up up on EVERYTHING (including roaat chicken, canned food and most dog treats), We are down to 1 kind of jerky treat (made in US!) and.. bacon. Only have 2 slices bacon & am loath to go into toen, so am rationing the bacon. Will try some ground turkey later, but not hopefull :-(. TUCK NEEDS TO STAY ALIVE TIL MIDNIGHT TOMORROW, SO HIS HUMANS CAN SAY GOODBYE IN PERSON IF AT ALL POSSIBLE SEND HIM GOOD THOUGHTS!!!!!!!!!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:20am Doug Schulkind:

Benin is the modern site (more or less) for the great and not so ancient kingdom of Dahomey. They were doing magnificent things with iron in Dahomey when Europeans were still walking on all fours.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21am Stau:

I remember Dahomey! I think I had a stamp from there (yes, collected stamps when I was a nerdy kid).
