Seems Hal Smith kept body and soul apart in the last years of his life by doing voice work. He was -- really -- Owl in several of the Winnie the Pooh shorts, and he played horses in two Disney features.
Sorry, should have read the entire IMDB page before I posted. He had been a voice actor at least some of the time for most of his life, and he was the *original* Owl.
Look for the Sugar Pie video. It looks like Japantown SF Cherry Blossom Fest. She is performing in the middle of an intersection ( Fillmore & Sutter? Post? ) right on the street - no stage - whole band... VERY COOL!
I never understood why Love's "Emotions" wasn't credited as Medium Cool's score. Instead, Michael Bloomfield was credited for that movie's music. There's no Bloomfield music to be heard in the movie! Just Love and a Mothers of Invention song.

I could only find an RC Cola can featuring Dave Cash.
There's interesting audio commentary on the Medium Cool DVD. That scene with the hostile man who approached Peter Bonerz on the street was unscripted. He didn't even know there was a movie being made!
