Already a sobbing worthless wreck, expect nothing to change.

Hello! Love that Siouxsie cut, easily one of their very best. As a teen I was introduced to later Siouxsie and didn't hear some of that really brilliant earlier stuff until much later.

Lovely playlist, it's fitting the stormy weather rolling thru tonight

the second half of this siouxie song is really good... what song is this song... oh its a different band...
Avatar 12:20am
Wm.:

Yup. Tearist have some definite Siouxsie love going on...still a great band in their own right.
  12:27am
microneezia:

ya i have to admit i felt uneasy liking the tearist more when I saw it. caring about originator of anything will soon die off, probably with me.

Forgot is my new favorite I think? Maybe just this week
Avatar 12:58am

There's an inimitable style that runs across much of Russian black metal, and it's so good! Check out Old Wainds and their sideprojects; they are/were pretty much the chief purveyors of the sound. That said, rare is the time that I ever hear a BAD Russian bm band.

Wm.:

Yeah this tape kills.

Rory, did I ever use that image on a playlist? Probably a pretty oft-captured moment, but I know on my home machine I have several captures from that scene, close-ups of Paul Naschy in the horns and blue makeup. Wow, wot an image!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24am
Rory:

I'm not sure. I've never seen it used as an image on MCoQ.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27am
Rory:

I love "Vengeance of the Zombies". One of my favorite Naschy films.
Avatar 1:28am
Wm.:

Definitely one of the best Naschy films! After 222 shows, I'm not sure, either! I'll have to go digging when I have some time. It's a favored image; just can't recall if I ever used it on here, and I've seen other people's similar caps from that scene.

surf metal!
Avatar 1:39am

Thanks! On the music bed CD, I unfortunately refer to it only as "Music Bed (DVD)" - so I cannot even tell you what movie it's from, but I thought it sounded a lot like vintage Foetus.

Wm.!
I didnt make it to the life show in a while, could have been spring sleep fatigue, heh, its still early and I dont have anything on my mind yet, so I applaud you on the show and go on with my gymnastics. Kudos.

Very good to hear from you, Felix~ ! I always appreciate you checking in. The newest DA was fantastic, and I'm sure you remember that I played both sides- will also be coming back to it! Cheers.
Avatar 2:03am

@Wm. did you see Under the Skin? I think you'd love the score.
Avatar 2:08am
Schlockmaster:

You would mean the 2013 film with Scarlett Johannson - I detest her normally - is it worth watching or should I just get the score?
Avatar 2:08am
hola-soymilk:

It's "rad" that many of these releases are pretty recent
Avatar 2:09am
nanantatee:

I think it's brilliant but overall reviews are mixed.
Avatar 2:12am
Wm.:

Looks good to me nanantatee; I always give a potentially good new horror film a chance. Mixed reviews are often a good sign. Will check out!
Avatar 2:13am
Schlockmaster:

In films: I recently managed to get a hold of a copy of LAST NIGHT OF THE ALAMO from 1983 - a film I´d seen once in the 80s that made a big impression on me, it still holds up pretty well, its a dining film - I know how much you care about drinking, but if you haven't seen it, its recommended.
In nowadays films I think we all should go see WELCOME TO NEW YORK with Depardieu - this looks like the kind of sleaze exploitation we love from the 70s updated by old fave Ferrara - I will have seen it till next week and you´ll get my 5 cent
Avatar 2:17am
Schlockmaster:

sorry, mistake up above: DRINKING film, not dining - how funny - the only good "dining" film I know of is LA GRANDE BOUFFE from 1973, but that sure would be worth re-watching.
Do you guys know of good "dining" films, with exception of zombie and cannibal movies?
Avatar 2:20am
Wm.:

Too obvious -My Dinner With Andre? ...Salo?
Avatar 2:25am
nanantatee:

"chef" out right now is a good dining film, pretty cheesy comedy by jon favreau but has some mouth-watering food shots
Avatar 2:25am
nanantatee:

Or perhaps silence of the lambs haha
Avatar 2:29am
Schlockmaster:

I remember FANNY & ALEXANDER by Bergmann as having LENGHTY dinner scenes, and MELANCHOLIA from von Trier, but that was inspired by the previous...
Avatar 2:32am
Wm.:

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover?
Avatar 2:33am
Wm.:

BUT HAARE THO
Avatar 2:35am
Schlockmaster:

Other than that, we were having fun with the Films by THE SEBASTIANS (Beverly & Ferd), really good trash from long ago: the two GATOR BAITs are fantastic, full in-bred in zest dramas; RUNNING COOL was one of the baddest biker films ever and DELTA FOX is just plain unbelievable. I haven´t gotten ahold of ROCKTOBER BLOOD yet, but the Trailer looks like a true unsung gem. The AMERICAN ANGELS series looks good too, but I didn't see that as well.
Avatar 2:37am
Schlockmaster:

very nice noise there, Wm.
Avatar 2:40am

Ahhh - Cassavetes A WOMAN UNDER INFLUENCE has hilarious dinner scenes, and is built around them.

yeah that HAARE!!!
Avatar 2:43am

I could only watch Woman Under the Influence once. Such a good acting job; a disturbing portrayal of mental illness.
Avatar 2:45am
Schlockmaster:

And a pretty funny film the same time, wich is especially disturbing
Avatar 2:48am
hola-soymilk:

Oh shit earlier, I was thinking of a film clip I had watched at school and I think it's from the cook etc. Get outta my head.
Avatar 2:51am

Can't help it- I think we are meant to make our getaway, naked, in a panel truck full of rotten carcasses. ...
