Live performance by Guitarist Don Bikoff with Percussionist Stephan Brandstatter

Some forty years after the release of Don Bikoff's debut, "Celestial Explosion," the album's reissue has propelled him into the spotlight again. Bikoff's rejuvenation inspired him to create a new album called "Hallowed Ground" which is out now. Don also recently found his own "basement tape" with percussionist Stephan Brandstatter, recorded many years ago, which he hopes to release as well. Don Bikoff and Stephan Brandstatter visited WFMU's "love room" for a live performance.

Shameless self-promotion: The NYC premiere of The Breath Courses Through Us, a documentary film about the New York Art Quartet, will take place on Sunday, May 18, 7:30 at Anthology Film Archives on Second Ave and 2nd St, with a screening of Michael Snow's New York Eye & Ear Control

Hi, Irene and you all! Wow, that Espers tune wound up wildly dark. Loved it, as I do this FC as well.

You could keep playing that Fairport the rest of the show and I would be happy...

...oh wait! Linda!

Wish I could stay and play as Linda's lyric asked, but too many adult duties beckon. I'll still be listening for the most part though, so thanks for the sounds, Irene!

It was in Fleischer's "Snow White", with Betty Boop in the title role and Cab Calloway singing and Rotoscoped.

Robert:

It may seem superficially like an arbitrary choice, but actually at that point, "St. James Infirmary" fit the plot of "Snow White" pretty well.
