Feedel Band - Washington DC's All-Star Ethio-Jazz Band

Hear this show now: Pop-up listen Pop-up player! | Add or read comments

Washington DC's Feedel Band deftly blends Ethiopian music and jazz into a simmering musical stew. The band came together backing many of Ethiopia's great stars on US appearances - Aster Aweke, Mahmoud Ahmed, the late Tilahun Gessesse and more. Now they're stepping out as their own unit playing originals and classics.

Feedel Band hits Brooklyn on Sunday Night (April 13th), performing on a great African electric double bill with Mandingo Ambassadors at Pioneer Works in Red Hook.

Massive thanks to our illustrious engineer, Glenn Luttman!

Trying to secure an apt. in Sunset Park. Crossing fingers that it doesn't fall through. I feel sort of weird about bailing out on New Jersey, a state I enjoy for its perpetual underdog status, but I'll still come visit a lot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14pm mariano:

Ike, you'll love SP! Great neighborhood.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm Rob Weisberg:

Ike, I have a lot of Brooklyn envy... it's a good move. Good luck with it, I hope it comes through!
Avatar 8:27pm I k e:

Wish there was FiOS in this bldg.. or at least Optimum, and not Slime Warner, the cable co./ISP that Satan himself would turn down for being too evil. But ya can't have everything.
Avatar 8:29pm I k e:

But, it's facing west for optimal FMU reception -- that's all I *really* need! Ha.
