	9:56am Cecile: I have learned to love thyme recently, and it does better in our climate than rosemary. You would think oregano and lavender would be tough here, nope. They are very delicate and never come back.

I will try that out. @Cecile I was never satisfied with the aroma of my homegrown oregano. Mint is a beast of a plant but itneeds shadow. My balcony is southside with light all day. Mint dries out in summer hopelessly.

	10:00am Cheri Pi: I have been lucky enough to have a large rosemary plant in my kitchen window all winter long. This weekend we planted Basil, lavendar, aubergine, thyme, zuccini and kohlrabi seeds. We also bought a hydroponic fish tank and this weekend I became a new parent to Yngwie Satriani, the veil-tailed beta.

	10:02am braveness23: @Cecile I went to a conference a couple weeks ago and attended a session on growing Mediterranean herbs in our climate. The Mediterranean and Ohio climates almost couldn't be more different. My rosemary, oregano and lavender survived the last two winters but this year they are dead, dead, dead.
	10:03am pierre: I hear you with all the plant Cheri Pi, we've been doing some aubergine, pepper, tomatoes but the plenty, gerkins, zucchini… all the cool summer stuff and regarding herb, Sage has my vote. I just love it.
	10:03am Cecile: Sage is great, but you always have way more than you need. Guido, we have big ol shade trees where our mint (when we have it) just flourishes.

	10:15am Cecile: I'm in St. Paul, the 2nd largest of Irish x-pats in the country. And lots of wannabes. Actually I like that because I am very mean to whoever does that and it doesn't even register with them.

	10:20am still b/p: Observance was yesterday for me. Drove my little truck in the city parade with a banner on it. Had a Guinness, had an Allagash Black, and then a Dutch chaser: went to see film, Tim's Vermeer.
	10:20am Cecile: It was happy hour. It was a nice imperial pint and homebrewed beer. I do know places where I can go to a 7 hour happy hour and get $1 beers that taste like yellow water but will get the job done.

	10:25am Cecile: I paid $7 for a Smithwicks in a plastic cup, and was so appalled I needed two beers at the cheap place to wash it out of my mouth. I am loyal to the place, but I'm never going there for Paddy's agqain.
	10:26am Cecile: Common, the ones I have were lovely. My friend, who lived in Prague for years, swears they are the best in the world.

	11:43am Cecile: I'm studying graphic design at night, and am the default one for our unit.

	11:46am Guido (Cologne): I'm kinda adept photoshoper but shockingly i'm out of other standard software. My old software runs on the old system and I'm completely out of the newer versions, not to speak about missing routine. so I'm pretty slow graphic-wise.
	11:46am tim from champaign: @Guido - SF releases do tend to be a little more expensive than most. About $5 (usd) above the average. They're totally worth it to me. Their DVDs are quite affordable though.

	11:53am mariano: @Guido: Adobe has recently changed and you can now basically rent any of the Creative Suite for a monthly rate, as opposed to paying $1,800 or so for the full package.
	11:54am tim from champaign: @Guido - If you haven't gone down the Sublime Frequencies road, I'd highly recommend it. The LP packaging is fantastic. The "Radio ______" comps are so col. There's little to no overlap with music/sounds on other labels. Their DVDs are done verite style. The Nat Pwe and north african dvds will melt your face.
	11:55am Cecile: Yeah, and I'm a little bummed because I bought CS6 not that long ago. But I really like Photoshop. I have learned to appreciate Illustrator and InDesign, but in a pinch you can do a lot with 'shop.

On other labels the vinyl often is diappointing information-wise, so that i often take the CD in order to have the booklet.
	12:00pm Guido (Cologne): InDesign was an real advantage compared to classic QuarkXPress. Illustrator seemed cool, just I was too much stuck with Macromedia FreeHand with my routines. Well anyway, no choice nowadays.

I will try that out. @Cecile I was never satisfied with the aroma of my homegrown oregano. Mint is a beast of a plant but itneeds shadow. My balcony is southside with light all day. Mint dries out in summer hopelessly.

	10:00am Cheri Pi: I have been lucky enough to have a large rosemary plant in my kitchen window all winter long. This weekend we planted Basil, lavendar, aubergine, thyme, zuccini and kohlrabi seeds. We also bought a hydroponic fish tank and this weekend I became a new parent to Yngwie Satriani, the veil-tailed beta.

	10:02am braveness23: @Cecile I went to a conference a couple weeks ago and attended a session on growing Mediterranean herbs in our climate. The Mediterranean and Ohio climates almost couldn't be more different. My rosemary, oregano and lavender survived the last two winters but this year they are dead, dead, dead.
	10:03am pierre: I hear you with all the plant Cheri Pi, we've been doing some aubergine, pepper, tomatoes but the plenty, gerkins, zucchini… all the cool summer stuff and regarding herb, Sage has my vote. I just love it.
	10:03am Cecile: Sage is great, but you always have way more than you need. Guido, we have big ol shade trees where our mint (when we have it) just flourishes.

	11:54am tim from champaign: @Guido - If you haven't gone down the Sublime Frequencies road, I'd highly recommend it. The LP packaging is fantastic. The "Radio ______" comps are so col. There's little to no overlap with music/sounds on other labels. Their DVDs are done verite style. The Nat Pwe and north african dvds will melt your face.
	11:55am Cecile: Yeah, and I'm a little bummed because I bought CS6 not that long ago. But I really like Photoshop. I have learned to appreciate Illustrator and InDesign, but in a pinch you can do a lot with 'shop.

On other labels the vinyl often is diappointing information-wise, so that i often take the CD in order to have the booklet.
	12:00pm Guido (Cologne): InDesign was an real advantage compared to classic QuarkXPress. Illustrator seemed cool, just I was too much stuck with Macromedia FreeHand with my routines. Well anyway, no choice nowadays.
