Hey Simon or anyone: seen the movie on Netflix called Stony Island, from the 70s, about an aspiring funk band in Chicago, basically all real musicians in the starring roles? There was a fellow named Ronnie Baron in it, from New Orleans, real good Dr John type voice, in fact he and John were collaborators in the early days.

That's nice of you Droll! BGZ has stopped by to volunteer, it seems whenever he's in the area, Marathon or not!
Avatar 2:02am
BadGuyZero:

Droll is correct. This was the second year I've flown up from Dallas to help out during the marathon. It's a wonderful experience. You get to meet some wonderful people and see how the magic is made. The food that people bring in is exceptional* as well.

The marathon isn't the only time they need volunteers to help out around the station. All the shirts, CDs and other goodies we'll be receiving as a token of appreciation for our financial support take time to package and mail out. My first visit to the WFMU building was for that very purpose. If you're ever in the area and are interested in volunteering get in touch with Scott Williams. He'll let you know if the station needs some help.

*Hats off to whomever brought the chocolate ginger snaps yesterday.
