my mother fell prey to an organ salesman (not in a dirty sense). she was 73 and she bought a lowrey millenium - seventy thousand fucking dollars! she was the first sucker in the country to buy one. they gave her a 30 year loan - at 73 THEY GIVE HER A 30 YEAR LOAN! we were lucky to sell it for half price after she passed.

@ted so basically the explanation Ken offered literally is that it's whatever the FCC says it is. So they could tell them it has to be Jersey City or East Orange or wherever they want - I think there was an article buried in an old LCD article where Ken basically said that around the time of the move.

oh Brentanos books was great in its day. Waldenbooks was like, ok. Newberrys/Mcrory's drugstores were GREAT. like a 2 level one at my mall growing up....you could get custom tshirts done, eat ice cream, and all sorts of junk food while u waited

Clay: Look in the abandoned mall for the abandoned Radio Shack and there are plenty of microcasette recorders right behind the display of Tandy Color Computers and the NEW TRS-80 Model IV. They even still have a full selection of electronics parts and a staff who understands what they are.
