-the site of The Sex Pistols' best gig
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm

Caryn: that's cool about James Mason, he's always been a fave. What happened at the Pistols gig?
  3:32pm
P-90:

The Pistols didn't get into a shouting match with James Mason from the stage?
  3:33pm

Probably my all-time favorite James Mason movie line: "Nurse the tooth."
  3:34pm
josephebacon:

I always thought James Mason was Bigger Than Life!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm
Caryn:

@mariano: well, it was a gig for miners and their families (I think near X-mas, but I could be recalling this wrong). The Pistols have always spoken fondly of the gig, and talked about it as their best. As far as I know, nothing hugely unusual happened. There's plenty of footage of it in one of the Julian Temple docs about them.

When in Huddersfield, I lived about a block away from James Mason Close, named such because that's where he was born. Nice Victorian houses.

Skirkie, Matt Farley's song about Camden NJ is titled "Camden Isn't So Bad! It's Getting Better."

He's not going to insult towns outright because he wants to sell the songs to residents.
